Is Having a Weight Loss Procedure Really Taking the Easy Way Out? (Replay)

In this episode of Rockstar Mindset, I’m opening up all the way about my weight loss journey. I truly believe that sharing my journey will empower others that may be dealing with the same issues. I struggle with food addiction which causes weight gain, which leads to anxiety, and a host of other mental health issues. I literally tried everything to lose weight. I tried every workout regime, diet, and even unhealthy methods to lose weight.

At the age of 30, I finally decided to alter my body and have surgery. I underwent Gastric Bypass surgery and I lost a great deal of weight for two years after surgery. I actually lost over 100 pounds. Years later I would have a skin removal and muscle repair procedure also known as a “Tummy Tuck.” Having these procedures came with a great deal of criticism and scrutiny from people, even the people that I love most. People assume that I took the easy way out but I can absolutely assure you that there has been nothing easy about this process and I’m here to dispel those myths once and for all.  

I encourage you to listen to this episode with an open heart as my goal is to educate people on the less talked about issues surrounding weight loss and to provide courage to those dealing with similar struggles.
