The Sanford MLK Steering Committee and the City of Sanford invite you to join the 4 days of celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. here in the beautiful City of Sanford starting Friday, January 12, 2024. There are many ways you can participate and join in on the celebration as we honor and recognize Dr. King. There's an oratorical contest, a parade, an interfaith church service, and a banquet, just to name a few. Mr. Kenneth Bentley, Co-Chair of the MLK Steering Committee, a committee of dedicated volunteers across 37 years, is our guest on this episode. This year's theme is "Rise Up."
