If there is a topic that seems to never be, or rarely is, discussed in church, it is the topic of suicide. There isn’t much that is more heartbreaking than suicide. And the impact is far more reaching than the one life that was lost. Family members, friends, co-workers, people in the community, and future generations are all affected by one person’s choice.
I’m in the middle of a series on Christian men, the church, and mental health and today I’m going to dig into this important topic of suicide and the church. It’s not an easy one to talk about, but it needs to be discussed, so let’s get started.
