What happens when you face the shadows of your past and begin an arduous journey toward healing? Nicholas Jordan Moore, author of a profound memoir set for release this September, takes us through his journey from a life shrouded in trauma to a newfound state of enlightenment in this powerful episode. Raised in a strict religious background, Nicholas candidly discusses his experiences with addiction, societal pressures, and unhealthy relationships, while shedding light on pedophilia in his family and its impact on his life.

Our conversation takes us through the labyrinth of Nicholas's life, as he reflects upon the complexities of vulnerability, the power of reclaiming your story, and the difficult lessons learned from past relationships. Sharing his personal experiences with DMT and a transformative mushroom trip, Nicholas discusses his shift from a dark phase of depression to enlightenment. He reveals how these experiences, coupled with a shift in perception, became a pivot for personal growth and self-discovery.

By sharing his journey, Nicholas encourages us to reclaim our narratives and heal our wounds. As we delve deeper, Nicholas shares his journey towards self-publishing and we talk creative strategies to promote his book. We examine the implications of societal pressures on men, the weight of guilt, trauma, and the path to collective healing. // WHAT'S SOVEREIGNTY? //

Personal sovereignty is the freedom to live your life on your own terms, and it looks different for everyone. For people like us and the folks we talk to on this channel, it means homesteading, or living off the grid in a self-sufficient manner. Sovereignty could mean growing one's own food, raising their own animals, catching their own water, and generating their own power.

It could also mean complete financial independence (without the need for banks, even--this is where #bitcoin comes in). For some (not us), it could even mean living completely independently and externally of the State itself.

#sovereignty is way of life. It means being self-resilient and ready to adapt in the face of adversity and challenge. It means being anti-fragile and adventurous in the face of culture's routine and fear of change. Practicing personal sovereignty can be a great way to reduce your impact on the planet, live more sustainably, and experience the peace of mind of self-reliance.
