Old wounds die hard. Sometimes it's just a matter of old memories resurfacing, or thinking of someone from your past again (or perhaps they appear in your dreams). You can't stop the heavy thoughts and feelings about a past wound, whether big or small, it weighs you down. You might feel trapped or like you can't breath. Or, something in your present life triggers you. You say to yourself "WTF!" - you feel like you are going crazy, your little child is crying inside you, you feel weak, vulnerable and a mess - your self esteem takes a nose dive - and your life spirals into a downwards roll. You try to suppress it, squash it far down - and feel like you are going to choke.  You can't breath. Your chest is heavy, anxiety rife - and an altercation of any kind sends you into a panic attack response. Your nervous system is on high alert, you plunge into fight or flight, and your body becomes tired, dense. You become down, overwhelmed and exhausted. It is a dark night of the soul, but it is repeated relentlessly, and you feel like you just can't cope, or are just 'going through the motions.'

What's the lesson and connection in all of this?
Beyond & beneath the triggers, there are traumas!
Traumas can be on a wound spectrum from small nuisances, to major debilitating traumas. It brings up a host of unwanted, low feelings - anything from guilt, shame, fear, lack of trust, uncertainty, insecurity and unworthiness... not being heard, seen, known... to neglect and abandonment. The ocean of grief is vast and wide, and you feel like you are swimming in a swamp of past sludge that you just can't shake off. You are drowning in it, and before you know it, it can suck you right down into the greatest pits of despair.
This cosmic energy will definitely have its challenging moments, as it offers the chance for deep internal healing, which will be more and more rewarding as you get past each stage.
You will have moments and seemingly long intense periods where feel like you are having a breakdown of sorts, like you are going to internally combust, where your inner world turns ugly and you start to question EVERYTHING. And then the light shines in... and you upgrade.
