Wisdom with Wealth:
“A Proverbs-Driven Life understands the place and purpose of material wealth.”

“Proverbs counsels us to remember that money isn’t everything. In fact, money is a poor source of happiness, a rich source of temptation and, in the final analysis, completely worthless.”
“Wealth is a Poor Source of Happiness”
“Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.” Proverbs 3:13–14, ESV “As Bruce Waltke puts it, “Wisdom has inestimable superiority to precious metals because it bestows spiritual virtues along with material benefits” (emphasis mine).16 The wisdom that comes from God positions you to enjoy a life that is long, pleasant, peaceful, honorable, and materially prosperous.”

“Wealth is a Rich Source of Temptation”
“Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.” Proverbs 28:6, ESV
“The perverse ways of the rich noted in Proverbs 28:6 can include self-centeredness, self-indulgence, idolatry, and

“Wealth is Ultimately Worthless”

“God’s Get-Rich-Slow Scheme”
“The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5, ESV

“In their eagerness for easy wealth, they display financial haste through some or all of the following sins: greediness, laziness, lack of faith, self-reliance, fraud, and impatience.”

“The Wisdom of Financial Diligence”
“Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.” Proverbs 13:11, ESV

“A person who understands God’s wisdom in the larger sense will use that same principal of compounding and “invest” their “spiritual resources” in God’s kingdom, where the rewards are unfading and eternal.” “A Proverbs-driven life will include the diligent and systematic investment of wealth, but it will do so as part of a larger understanding that we are called to diligently and systematically invest every aspect of our lives into the kingdom of our God and Savior.”

“Neither Poverty Nor Riches”
“Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God.” Proverbs 30:8–9, ESV
“In the end, Proverbs teaches us that acquiring wealth is a blessing, but one that comes with practical and moral risks. If we are informed by and attentive to wealth’s dangers and limitations,
