Why is it so easy to create some habits but so tough to create others? The typical advice out there—practise something consistently over a certain period of time, such as 21 days—doesn’t always work. And when this seemingly reasonable formula doesn’t work for us, it can be incredibly demoralizing. It turns out that there’s an important piece missing, a piece that can make the whole process of habit-building so much easier.
