In this episode, we begin exploring the seven original recipients of the Revelation letter. This time, we'll be introduced to the churches at Ephesus and Smyrna.
In each letter, there's a repeated structure that helps us as Bible students. Jesus reveals Himself to the churches in unique ways that are relevant to His message to them. Next, he gives the churches both commendations and corrections. Finally, Jesus gives each church an exhortation and a promise.
These letters are a snapshot of church health in John's day, but also reveal truths that speak to the Lord's church in any time and place.
