When the sixth seal is opened there were tremendous natural signs in the heavens and the earth. People will recognize the apocryphal nature of the signs, and yet they will refuse to repent! During this time, but after the signs, we see God's interaction with two specific groups of people. First, there are 144,000 Jewish 'servants of God' that are sealed by God. The second group was 'a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands.'
