In this episode of “Shine Brightly!”, GiveSendGo CoFounder Jacob Wells speaks with Charley Voos and his wife about their daughter Gwen’s journey through the NICU and their mission to bring hope and support to other families facing similar challenges.
Every year on Gwen's birthday, they create thoughtful gift bags for NICU families at Cook Children's Hospital. These special bags are carefully curated to include a newborn blanket, onesie, newborn toy, and a copy of "Mikey and the Dragons" by Jocko Willink, a captivating and illustrated children's story that teaches young ones how to face their fears.
The Voos’ campaign focuses on raising funds to build the gift bags, and any additional money raised beyond this year's requirements will be directed towards expanding the donation to more hospitals.
