Carlos Carsolio es el montañista más importante en la historia del alpinismo latinoamericano. Con tan sólo 33 años logró una hazaña que hasta hoy muy pocos hombres han realizado: alcanzar las cumbres de las 14 montañas más altas del planeta, los legendarios "Catorce Ocho miles", y lo logró casi sin la ayuda de oxígeno y abriendo nuevas rutas.
Para compartir las enseñanzas de la montaña, Carlos Carsolio ha impartido más de 1,500 conferencias en temas de innovación, liderazgo y trabajo en equipo. Con el lema “la montaña más alta está dentro de ti” fundó, en 1992, el primer centro de capacitación vivencial en México que ha atendido a más de 75,000 participantes de 500 empresas.
Desde 2003, se ha dedicado a impulsar nuevas tecnologías, innovando en la rehabilitación de vivienda marginal y la arquitectura orgánica.
