It was November 2012, and Brooklyn, New York was on edge, as three local shopkeepers were murdered over the course of five months. The killer was a 64-year-old traveling salesman named Salvatore Perrone. Perrone was eventually arrested and convicted for these brutal crimes, and would later be dubbed the “Son of Sal” by media outlets.
