Today we are excited to be joined by Kyle Hanlan, the vice president of LLMC Partners. Kyle has served in the Army and Navy and talks with us about his diverse military experience, academic pursuits, and challenging transition from military service to civilian life. 

In this episode, we shed light on the struggles that many veterans face when reintegrating back into civilian life. We also discuss the stigmas associated with seeking mental health support, the essential role of having a supportive veteran community, and the world’s inevitable changes that create a disconnect for returning veterans.

Kyle Hanlan:

 Kyle is the Vice President of LLMC Partners, where he provides advisory services to companies and organizations to guide them on leadership and organizational culture. He holds a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and is an MBTI Master Practitioner. His professional experience ranges from management consulting for Fortune 500 companies to public service in the federal government. He has created and implemented strategies, policies, and procedures for multinational organizations. He has experience in negotiations between the United States and foreign governments.

Kyle served in the Army from 2004 through 2012. He held three Military Occupational Specialties (MOS): Aircraft Electrician, Supply Clerk, and Paralegal. After completing basic and MOS training, he was assigned to the prestigious Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR). Upon leaving active duty service, he continued to serve in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard while he attended college. Kyle completed seven degrees: AAS in Criminal Justice, BS in Criminal Justice Administration, an MPA, an MPhil in Policy, MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, a Master’s in Engineering Management, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration.  His dissertation centered on civil-military relations and the best practices of cultural transitions.
