The shift to working from home, amid the global situation, birthed in her an awareness that her lifestyle was far from sustainable. Strains of stress started to manifest physically, leading to the crucial decision - she needed to prioritize her well-being and left her full-time role at Morehouse.
Joy’s vision for her future impact focusses on creating a nurturing community for women who don’t fit into conventional spaces. She hopes to lead them to live a fully integrated life, inspiring women across generations to honor their whole selves and explore different paths.
She is currently pouring her faith and wisdom into her recently relaunched law firm and her new venture Flawed Masterpiece - a platform for empowering black women to live satisfying lives without sacrificing their health and well-being, embodying a message close to Joy's heart - self-care comes before career.
