In 2006 het Nicky van der Linde by sy pa op hulle plaas, Geelbos, aangesluit. Sy oupagrootjie het die plaas in 1950 begin. Ongelukkig is Nicky se pa in Desember verlede jaar aan kanker oorlede.
Vanaf 2012 fokus hy op mielies en soya en met passie sy stempel op die boerdery afgedruk. Onlangs is hy aangewys as TLU SA se Jong Boer van die Jaar 2023. Nicky se 17-jarige landbou-reis is 'n aangrypende verhaal van toewyding en uitnemendheid.
