Paul Kruse wasn't about the life he grew up in. He dreamed of living a life of luxury and he legitimately did for a little while. When things fell apart and he was forced to work for more modest means, he decided he was willing to lie, cheat and steal his way to the life he wanted.
He might have gotten away with his scheme for longer had he not made gross advances toward the underage daughter of his assistant, Amy.
