In 1995, I visited Antarctica to produce and present a 30-minute documentary for BBC Radio 4. It was about two very different journeys to the Ice for tourists and scientists. It was a life-changing trip for all. I met 400 rich and glamorous tourists enjoying champagne and cabaret, and scientists from the British Antarctic Survey undertaking groundbreaking research. First broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday 13 August 1996 at 10am.
