Welcome to In Session! A new podcast brought to you by three professionals in the mental health field who want to normalize and de-stigmatize mental health while answering some questions you may have about accessing resources in your own community or on campus!

Continuing with our series on STRESS, we interview a former professor of Maisy's, a current adjunct faculty member, practicing psychologist, and school board, Loren Andrews.  Andrews shares with us what happens when your body experiences prolonged exposure to stress and some ways to work through it.  He also talks about the difference between toxic stress, post traumatic stress disorder, and even what healthy stress can look like.

Check out some resources for navigating stress including his YouTube channel, a podcast by Dan Harris (mentioned in the episode), and some additional guided meditations and breathing exercises.
