Her husband and high school sweetheart was found dead after he was crushed under a 300 pound piece of metal (January 3, 2012). Although he was miraculously resuscitated, she was given no real hope for a recovery. Against all odds, not only has Doug survived death and the brain injury, he is also far exceeding medical expectations. He’s proving the medical community wrong and that God is still in the miracle business. Holding on to hope and standing in faith, Tammy contended for his life after hearing what she understood to be an audible voice telling her, “This will be the hardest journey of your life, but if you trust me, Doug will be okay.”

Tammy shares openly: 00:00 intro -How God prepared them for this trial -How God spoke to her so clearly throughout the experience and delivered on these promises -The miracle of Doug's recovery and the rigors of rehabilitation 33:40 The road to Doug's half marathon and the joy of encouraging others 48:00 Interaction with possible angel with a much needed message at a low point -Importance of self care and getting counseling or help for yourself as a caregiver and spouse 53:12 Insight about the importance of allowing yourself to grieve after a traumatic experience 55:55 A beautiful prophetic gift from Doug with a powerful message (for all of us!) -Calling to share her message in a book, how the writing became therapeutic for her -Importance of taking time to be with Jesus, surrendering and the renewing of your mind 1:07:45 Beautiful take away message and insight for those going through a difficult time (this is SO beautiful!) 1 Peter 1:6-7"In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."

Tammy and Doug reside in beautiful Missoula, Montana. Tammy is an author and speaker and is passionate about encouraging others as a Life Coach. Loved this update from her website: "When I am not rewiring the brain, coaching, or speaking, I can be found in the kitchen trying out the latest recipe I have discovered or hiking/cross country skiing in the woods with my dogs, Lark, a Border Collie and Sidney, an Australian Shepherd. Doug and I love to float the river or ride our recumbent bikes together when the opportunity presents itself. We are optimistic Doug will be able to resume skiing in some fashion. We continue to seek out new adventures, and we love to share our miracle story of hope and healing with others."
