1 John 4:17: “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.”

There is a kingdom of darkness, and there is a kingdom of light! The devil aims to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that we may have life! (John 10:10)

Each of us has gone through hurt, pain, and rejection because of the kingdom of darkness operating in this world. The aim of satan is for the hurts, pain and rejection that we go through to become our identity and hinder us from walking in the light and the truth of who we are in Christ.

But because of what Jesus came to bring, our past, trauma, hurts, or experiences don’t have to define us!

The Holy Spirit said through the apostle John, “As He is, so are we in this world.”

That means that everything Jesus is is who we are!

His victory is our victory!

His healing is our healing!

His righteousness is our righteousness!

His freedom is our freedom!

His value is our value!

It honours the sacrifice of Jesus when we agree with what God has said about us. Jesus went to hell for us and took on the punishment of sin so that we no longer have to live with the evil effects of darkness; instead, we have the right to walk in the Kingdom of Light and all the goodness and freedom that light brings!

I encourage you this week to read Colossians 1 and meditate on the truth that we have been transferred out of the dominion of darkness and have been transferred into the Kingdom of the Son of His love!

Agree with what God says about you!
