October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s a time to raise awareness, act, and support each other. Each year in the United States, about 240,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in women and about 2,100 in men. The risk for women of developing breast cancer at some point during their lifetime is approximately 13 percent. However, there is so much you can do to prevent cancer and treat it should it occur.
