We're back in the 1970's! This week on Sorta Cinema, we watched the CBS Tuesday Night Movie 'Death Car on the Freeway', a 1979 mystery/thriller about a murderous rampage on the freeways of Los Angeles. What might at first glance seem like another cheesy car chase movie, turned out to be a much deeper commentary on workplace sexism, toxic masculinity, and America's relationship with cars (don't worry, there's still plenty of ridiculous car chases). So grab your driving gloves, pop in your fiddle music 8-track, and buckle up. It's time for Sorta Cinema.
