SHOW SUMMARY FOR BUZZSPROUT
Bad habits, when left unchecked, can be the greatest enemy for progress. In this episode we talk about self-destructive behaviors and how negative mindsets reduce our energy and motivation to take the necessary steps for achieving our goals.
As trapped as we may feel, there are strategies we can apply in our daily lives to free us from our bad habits. And throughout that entire process we need to remember that we’re never alone. Sometimes, we must be vulnerable and open up to others, even if we think we can go through this road alone.
The key strategy to dealing with bad habits is not in elimination, but rather, replacing. We must identify the cues that are causing these bad habits to occur. Then, replace the bad with positive behavior, just to reward it. This way, the bad habit will, over time, be replaced with a good one, almost without even noticing it
