Dr. Jamie Mitchell, an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, shares research she has done in effective communication between doctors and African American men.  She explains how poor communication and confidence in the health care system, can impact prostate cancer patients, vaccination rates and general healthcare outcomes of African American patients.  Her studies of video records of doctor/patient interactions illustrate how this communication can be improved.
