Speaker 1 (00:00):
On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Mario Lopez joined me now on Zoom from the Real
Housewives of Dubai at Leasta Milan.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (00:09):
I'm good? How are you?

Speaker 4 (00:11):
By the way, my husband's like, oh, you're gonna have
a zoom with Mario Lopez and I'm.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Like, yeah, I know. It just takes me back to
stay by the bell.

Speaker 5 (00:20):
And uh, tell your husband, tell me to say what's up?
Thank you so much, You're so sweet. Well, this is exciting.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Season two.

Speaker 5 (00:29):
Real Housewives of Dubai just announced premiere's June second on Bravo.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
What can we expect the season?

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Well, the desert is hot, but nothing is hotter than me.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
I'm kidding. Hey, is that your tagline? That's great? Nice?

Speaker 4 (00:45):
No, Honestly, it's going to be such an amazing season.
Season one was good, but I felt like that was
the warm up. Season two is going to be so good.
We have new addition and we've gotten rid of some
of them, and I think overall overall, it's going to
be good.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
The viewers are going to really enjoy this season.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
Now, Dubai is the first international franchise of the housewives, right,
how did uh?

Speaker 3 (01:10):
It's the first one on Bargo. But they have so many.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
They have Franceagos, they have Melbourne, they have Cheshure in
the UK.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Oh wow, that's interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
But the first one?

Speaker 1 (01:21):
And oh that's how did you? How did you end
up being involved?

Speaker 3 (01:25):
So I got cast in.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Actually my friend Shanelayan, she heard about the casting and
they were like, do you know anyone that would be interested?
And she's like, I have a friend that's actually a
real housewife, like and I think she'd be perfect. So
I did the cast in, I got picked and the
rest is history.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Good for you. It is the show popular in Dubai.
Do you get recognized out there?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Huge? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:50):
But you know what, it's so different when I come
to the US because people ask you for photos. It's
illegal to ask people for photos or do paparazzi and
stuff like that in the midleaset.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Is it really?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah? So I still have my privacy and they'll call
you just do a little wave.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Yeah, but you don't get the paparazzi and that level
of exposure.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
I guess we get to maintain our privacy.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
And are you from Dubai or did you move there?

Speaker 3 (02:16):
No?

Speaker 4 (02:17):
So I was born in Jamaica and I grew up
in Miami and now I live in Dubai. I always say,
Maide in Kingston, packaged in Miami, exported to Dubai.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Oh wow, how did you end up there?

Speaker 5 (02:29):
So?

Speaker 3 (02:29):
I met my husband at a night club.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
I was going through this really horrible breakup, and my
girlfriends were like, no, you know what, let's go to live.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
If you know Miami, you know live on a Sunday.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
So they were like, let's go to live, let's go party.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
And I went to like Detox and get you know,
my ex out of the break and my.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Husband look at that. That worked out well.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
They say you can't meet a wife and a club,
but he did twelve years later.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
There are no rules. Good for you. Good for you. Now.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
I've been invited and I was actually supposed to go
like two or three times to Dubai, but unfortunately something
always got in the way. And I've been always wanting
to go and visit. I can't wait. I hear nothing
but awesome things for those who have never been.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
What's it like?

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Dubai is amazing? You know, we always say, have baby
come to Dubai. It's so safe. I mean, I was
saying to the lady in the lyft earlier lift, I'm so,
I'm so British.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Yeah, I'm an elevator.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
But I can leave my phone somewhere and two days
later it will be in that exact place where I
left it. You know, there's no crime really, so that
that helps. I have three little boys, yeah, you know,
their safety is my top priority. So it's very safe.
It's very liberal. You know, we party. We you know,
we dress up, we look cute.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Oh that's cool.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
We make money tax free. Well, I have a US passport,
so the government still taxes me. But most people who
don't have a pastor and don't have global tags, they
live tax free.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Good for you. Well, I'm gonna definitely have to make
a trip out there. This radio station love it.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
The show comes out on Dubai ninety two out there
the radio station that'd yeah, I guess it does.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
We want the cub We want to come, I'm telling
you for sure, for sure. You've also created the world's
hottest luxury maternity brand in the world. What kind of
products do you have at mina Row?

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Yes, so I.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
Started mina Row when I was pregnant with my second
son and I couldn't find maternity where that was like,
you know, young and she can trendy, and if you
ever speak to a mom who's pregnant, the last thing
she wants to worry about is what she's wearing.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
So we've kind of.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Taken that you know, guessing game out of it because
we feel like when you look good, you feel good.
So we created a luxury maternity line that, in my opinion,
competes with the very best of non maternity fashion, and.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
It's been growing.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
So this year we've introduced our skincare side of the brand,
which is amazing, so belly oils, belly mask, whatever you
can think of that will make a mom feel good
during pregnancy, we have it.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
And you've had a lot of super moms, Beyonce, Rihanna
Kardashians all wearing your brand.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
What a nice endorsement, Oh, I.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Have Honestly, I'm so humble. Beyonce has worn our stuff twice,
and so many amazing moms across the world have and
they've trusted us, and I think, to be honest, my
favorite thing about the brand is a portion of our
sales go towards moms and villages throughout the world. So far,

(05:45):
we've donated in Kenya and Philippines and the list goes on,
and I just love it. I'm super passionate about it,
and I just love helping moms because Almama.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Yeah, good for you. Well that's awesome. Look forward to
going Dubai and and hopefully meeting you, Lisa.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I'll talk you, I'll take you out. Okay, I'm gonna
take you to be there to chaperonas.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Okay sounds good, it sounds good. I'll become my wife. Well,
have a great time, make a chaperone, both of us.
There we go.

Speaker 5 (06:12):

of Dubai starting June second on Bravo.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
