Then Dragnet starring Jack Webb, originally broadcast April 19, 1951, 73 years ago, The Big Speech.  A young kid has pistol-whipped a doctor and stolen a large quantity of narcotics. Sergeant Friday's mother listens to a speech against the teen-age use of narcotics from her son Joseph.
