In this episode I have a conversation with Jennifer Harvey Sallin about a topic I have already mentioned in my podcast multiple times: gifted trauma. During this episode Jennifer gives us more insight into what gifted trauma is and what happens inside your body and nervous system. We discuss the process of healing gifted trauma and the important role gifted peers and connecting to a universal ‘gifted energy’ can play.
Jennifer Harvey Sallin is a psychologist, trainer, assessor, writer and advocate. As the founding director of InterGifted, she is dedicated to raising awareness about giftedness and supporting gifted adults in their personal and social development. She trains therapists, coaches and other professionals to better understand how to recognize and support their gifted clients. She also discusses the topic of gifted-specific trauma and healing on her podcast 'Conversations on Gifted Trauma'. In addition to her work in the field of high intelligence, Jennifer is very engaged in climate psychology and activism and is dedicated to helping bring systemic change for a better world for all of us.
