In Episode 8 of Finding Community, Glenn interviews Beaverton, Oregon resident Dori King, an educator and school administrator, now Coordinator for Folks of Color in Schools (FOCIS), an alliance of people of color and white allies that seek to promote equity and social justice in schools. Dori talks about her passion for education and for supporting teachers of color, as well as her love for the Beaverton community, and her work with community engagement for the Beaverton Downtown Equity Strategy (BDES).
