Hobie Cunningham was born in Houma, La. He’s a father, veteran and cult survivor. After Hobie left the Jehovah Witness religion in 2006, he immediately joined the Navy and became a Seabee 13 years ago now, which is when he officially says he, quote, “took that huge step into the world and started the powerful and spiritual journey of finding [himself].” He dove deep into studies of various religions, ancient cultures, philosophy, occult writings that he calls a rabbit hole. Having what he calls an “overactive mind, he find himself always creating art, writing, photography and has fun working in brand management. He is very involved in his daughter’s life and credits her as being his savior having arrived just in time as his baby girl in January 2012. For reasons that he will explain later, his journey of self-awareness revolves much around her. Being a father has made life worth living when the going has been REALLY tough and triggered his spiritual quest and spiritual journey today.
