This episode is a sit-down with my niece Cara GerLaine Rogers “Mocha”. First, we discuss the courage to do the unexpected in her pursuit to follow her passion. The discussion follows her journey of what was next after high school. She shares how she tried the traditional route of entering into college. How she shares that she realized pretty quickly college wasn’t something she wanted to do. Once she felt comfortable verbalizing her truth, that she aspired to become an esthetician. She follower her passion and enrolled in a program and started her on business Moaka Beauty. At the time of publication Cara has graduated from school and taken her practical State Board Test. Also, Cara shares some of the many things she is enjoys doing on her journey of self-discovery. Finally, Cara shares her experience and transition from middle school to high school in a predominately white school. What she learned about herself and how she handled it.
