Profile On A Veteran: Murl Saylor born in Knox County Kentucky in 1947. Joined the Army in 1966 in the delayed enlistment program. He became active duty in March 1967 and did basic training at Fort Campbell Kentucky. His AIT was at Fort Bliss Texas was trained in Nike- Hercules missiles. Served till July 1978 and got out. Became a diesel mechanic and went into management for trucking companies. Recently he and his wife have been helping military families as Military Relations Missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
