Manny Delcarmen (The Pride of Hyde Park and part of the Red Sox 2007 World Series Championship Team) opened the Boston Athletic Academy with his best friend (and former catcher) Jose Diaz. The Academy is designed to help student-athletes with tutoring in classes they need help in, getting baseball lessons from pros, and preparing them for the paperwork that comes with preparing for college admissions. The Boston Athletic Academy has a successful baseball team, The Hammerhead Baseball Teams have experienced such rapid growth, that the Academy is looking for sponsors.
