(00:01):
San Diego. Welcome and welcome tothe show. Yo, A new new
day is here, and what betterway to start it than with I feel
like the show is going to begreat. This show. I would like
to introduce you to the ringleader Eddie. I have a young mindset, okay,
the mother of this crew Sky.If you don't know anything about me,
(00:25):
you may not realize that I getcold very easily. I'm very rude,
I'm obnoxious, and I don't care. And Emily, ever since I
can remember, I've never wanted tosleep with another human. Welcome to the
show on San Diego's rock station,Rock one oh five three. While this
is a rough start to your morningfor our boy Thor over here, Oh
(00:49):
no, this is not good. This has been a rough go of it
so far this morning. I'm notsure which he considers the biggest disaster.
But he's sitting over there no coffee, which is never good. That's always
a bad situation for him. Iforgot the French press. What's going on?
Yeah, I don't know. Man. Oh guys, it's a bad
(01:12):
way. This is a bad one. I went to the coffee, I
went to go get hot water formy French Press and I opened the cap
off my mug and no, noFrench Press is in there. So I
put the coffee in the took themug, but I forgot to put the
middle the actual thing you pressed press? What is that? That's the actual
(01:33):
French press? French press? Yeah. Now, how how does that scene
work in the morning, like whenyou get your coffee together? What's that
process? I just I'll break itdown how I get it'll break down?
I my alarm goes off, Iwake up to an alarm that gets brighter
and brighter and brighter, So youactually wake up nicely. You don't wake
(01:59):
up to Does that not wake upyour wife? Say? Oh, it
makes the whole room right, Well, yeah, it's over. Over twelve
minutes, it gets brighter and brighterand brighter and sometimes no she usually she
actually put on her left side soshe looks at the TV. Says she
remember, she has that disease.I don't know ifk I've ever heard of
it where she can't get up inthe morning. It's a disease. Oh
(02:21):
yeah, it's a syndrome that shehas. She's told me about that,
So I'm not really worried. I'mnot really worried about her. Yeah,
she's been diagnosed. Yeah, inthe morning, No, she can't.
Oh, she would love to,She would love to family, She would
love to get up in the morning, but somehow she does it for work.
But when she doesn't have work,she can't do it. I don't
(02:42):
know. It's a weird. It'sa weird. Yeah. So I get
up to that, I turn thatoff, and then I usually go back
to bed for a few minutes.I know you'd think I just give them
up. I think I just givebut I usually go back to bed for
like ten more minutes and just kindof lay there. But what about the
sun rising? It's already. No, it's woken me up. It's great
to come up, But then Iturn it off and it's dark again.
(03:04):
What do you rely on for atime for your second time? I have
three alarm set on my phone.Oh yeah, so, like I don't
want to you know, I don'twant to ever miss I think one time
I've had my alarm knock off,so and I just couldn't. I can't
have that happen again. So Iget up, get dressed, get dressed
in the dark like everyone does here, right, Please, my CLLL phone
light. Then I go into theI go into the living room. Usually
(03:24):
one of the cats me out becausethey want food. It's usually Kim.
She's early morning. Yeah yeah, yeah, he's the Emily of the cats.
Yeah, not as annoying. Now, do you get her? I
give her like a little hand becauseshe won't stop shut me out. It's
(03:47):
very annoying. Yeah. And thenonce she gets hungry. Our fat boy
Marshall, he's really fat. He'llstart on yeah yeah, he wants food.
Then he gets a pitch okay, and then I walk into the kitchen
coffee. Okay, Well, firstI do the yogurt. What's the yore?
Read it every day so you spuedit into your little tupperware. I
(04:11):
grab. He doesn't do that thenight before. I totally thought, why
don't you do that the night before? I don't know, Okay, got
his routine down. I don't liketo don't I don't like it to sit
in the tub were all night. What's the difference from that sitting in the
plastic tub. I feel like it'sfresher in the tub. I mean,
you understand how it's saying that thatdoesn't make any sense, but it's fine,
(04:35):
this is how his brain works.Haley makes breakfast for me once every
couple of weeks. Now is thatpushing it? Once a month? So
I remember when it was every day. Yeah, well I could speak on
that as well. My wife usedto make me a sandwich or something every
day I had that. I don'tknow how long what happened. Just stop,
(05:00):
I think she quit. Quit talkof this quitting for both of your
gals. It just stopped. Twoweek notice. Oh goodness. So I
don't make my man Robert lunches anymore. But we had a discussion about it.
He didn't want me to because hestopped eating during the day because he
made such bad No, I don'tmake bad lunches. There's good sandwiches.
Does he drinks like a protein shake? It doesn't want to eat again?
(05:21):
Oh it all day. It's reallyweird. He's a thin man. Yes,
therefore, Bill, muscle bro,you gotta eat the protein. Try
and tell him, Try to tellhim. So, yeah, I make
my yogurt and then after I putthe lid on, and then no crunchies
right now, Okay, So Iused so I put honey in a little
(05:45):
top of ware container and I'm readyto go, and then it's coffee time.
I take the coffee. I usuallyI wash it every day because all
the grinds are over, and Itake it down off the trainer. We
have a coffee, We have awe have a sink on top of the
sink. It's like a whole thingbecause it's a very small on top of
(06:05):
the sink. So I guess thismorning, I didn't realize I put the
coffee in the mug, not theFrench press, and then I closed it
up. Damn, yeah, that'sthat's thinks. Yeah, And I didn't
realize it. So I got hereand I was so looking forward to when
I walked back there, I openedit up, like here we go.
(06:26):
Oh no, And then I washoping our new guy who's helping out would
come in earlier so we can getStarbucks. That's what you want, Starbucks?
Right? He can still go?Yeah, he can still go.
Maybe do I knew something was amiss immediately because I came back. I
come into the studio about five tenevery morning, and I come in here
(06:49):
and I set up all my stuffand whatever. And as soon as I
walk in, the lights are stilloff, which never happens stores in here.
He gets here in five's and herstudy have five and I knew something
was wrong. Well, sometimes heis sitting in here creepily in the dark,
that is true, but he didn'tsee our lights. Our lights are
like motion or whatever, and sosometimes they don't go off and he doesn't
(07:14):
care. He'll just sit here inthe dark. And I'll go, oh,
okay, this is going to bea weird day. So I have
to go over and like move myarms to make the lights come on.
Yes, but that does happen. But I knew it wasn't that today because
there was no strange person sitting inthe dark by himself. Oh, it
was just dark and off and whatever. So I turn the lights on and
no Thor. And it's five tenand so that's ten minutes past the time
(07:39):
he normally gets here. So Iknew something was amiss. And so I
look over at Emily and I havea panic look on my face, and
Emily gave me a weird like I'mdriving motions. I've realized I'm not good
at hand gestures or lip like talkingthrough the glass pantomime. I had texted
Thor like probably sixty seconds before Eddiewalked in and Thor got back to me
(08:01):
right away. I just said, are you okay, yeah, because he's
usually here by then, right,And then he said I'll be there in
a minute. So my hand gesturewas driving right now, like coming in.
I mean, I thought like youcould have done a few different things
there. This. I was kindof like, is she milking a cow?
And that definitely does look like milkinga cow? Or what is that?
(08:22):
What he is that his new dutiesin the morning? Are we playing
the drum? Maybe maybe we're adrummer now, but like driving? Huh.
She's saying he's driving here right now, like you could have said,
like I already called him or something. I don't know. It was just
and I had no idea what shewas talking about. So she then has
(08:43):
to come all the way in hereto let me know. Yes, I
text him he's on his way,and I said, okay, cool,
fine, no problem. So Thorcomes in and lets me know why he
was a little late this morning.Yeah. I woke got up this morning.
What was I ready to go?I thought I had my French press?
Thought you did? Didn't know atthe time. Open the door.
Walking towards my car, I noticedmy motorcycles on the ground. Oh,
(09:07):
and that sucks because you park inthe street. R Yeah, I'm a
street parker. It has a coveron it, but it's tilt, it's
on its left side, and it'sjust on the ground. So that sucks.
It massively sucks. Yeah, SoI so I just kind of stare
at it for a second, kindof kind of it's kind of like whoa,
you know, like whoa like lookat it? Look around? Yeah,
(09:30):
like, like, what am Imissing here? I hear anything happened?
I didn't hear anything. My windowsopen and I could hear there's a
loud noise. I'd be able tohear it, but I guess I I
don't know. I didn't. SoI luckily I've been working out lately because
I was able to get it up. It's like six hundred and twenty pounds,
so I was able to get itup. And while I get it
up, I hear something rattle,So I'm thinking, oh my god.
So I take off the cover andthe side view mirror is snapped off,
(09:54):
so that sucks. And then alsoto the left, the left side view
mirror, and and then left onthe back of the left handlebar, it's
all just scratched and so that sucks. And then I just inspected the rest
of the bike, but I thinkthe rest of the bike is okay.
It was in the dark, butI had my camera and I was going
over like everything to see like underneathif there was any scratches or anything,
(10:16):
and there wasn't, so I thinkit was just that. But I don't
know how much it's going to costa fix or anything, so that kind
of sucks. I got a spotfor you law Tigers were great, Yeah,
but I don't know who did it. So here's my question. Yeah,
do you know if you need yourneighbors or anybody has a ring camera
or anything like that. So here'sthe issue. Huh. I live at
(10:37):
the very end of the street, right next to the dead end. There's
no house across the street. Wedon't have a ring camera. Okay,
so nobody so you have no witnesses, no chance to figure it out.
But there's no way. My wife'sbeen telling me to get a wind camera,
ring camera, and I haven't.Yeah, no, no, no,
they've been waiting. That's what Iwas going to ask. Is there
any I don't know about? Isthere any way for it to knock over
on its own, maybe, butI mean not with there was like no
(10:58):
wind. Most likely a human pushedit over, or like a car hit
it or what car probably hit it? Oh yeah, I'm assuming a car
turning because you got turned. Yougot because it's the dead end. So
they returned and just tapped it andjust went and just went over. That's
what I'm assuming, you know.I mean maybe a homeless person got crazy.
(11:20):
It's a myth or something. Idon't know, but but yeah,
it sucks. It's pretty brutal. That is pretty annoyed. But I and
I, uh, it's kind Yeah. After I kind of stared at it
for a while, I got itup, put the rear view beside from
your back in the house. Screameda couple of times on the way here.
No, not Hale's fault, likejust driving. And she did call
(11:43):
me because she goes hey, andI go, I go, what's up
hey, And she goes, didyou come into the house? And I
go yeah, she goes, ohmy god, I had the worst nightmare
and I thought somebody broke in,and I went, hey, let me
get going. Oh you didn't wantto hear about the nightmare, But no,
no sympathy for the nightmare and whatshe's been doing. I was late
(12:05):
to work. Oh, I didn'thave my coffee and my rear view,
my side view mirror snapped off,and my bike is scratched a lot about
the nightmare. Yeah, I didn'twant to hear about your own nightmare.
Yeah, I'm really hoping that nothingon the end of the bike is scratched,
like the exhaust I don't think so. Okay, I don't think so,
(12:26):
the air filter area, Like, god, that was what's the what's
the plan here? Like? Imean, well, I'm gonna call Indian
motor CYCLEO San Diego at like nineto thirty because they opened it nine get
it in. See if I canget it in sit here tomorrow. Uh.
Any thought of bringing the bike insideor I mean, I don't even
know. I just I would. There's no way it on your front because
(12:46):
you like dirt on your front.Yeah, but there's a massive curb of
size I mean dropping off from homeonce the size of that curb, it's
like a two foot curb. It'sso big, like I have to build
a ramp. I'm not gonna youknow, I'm gonna have had it out
for two years. So well, you can contract with Sky Security Services and
I can come out and get ringcameras from every angle. I think I
(13:09):
have about five on my house rightnow. So yeah, why you gotta
get every angle? Well for whatWell, because you gotta at my house.
You got to get the street, right, that's like the most important
one, see the cummins and thegoings. But then also we need to
get the front courtyard. We needeach side of the house, we need
the back of the house. Soyou you need every every every side.
(13:31):
Bro you need to be covered completely. I mean, have you ever had
an incident? Not since we livedthere. When the house was under construction,
there were a couple is there aresome river backyard, but other than
that have Like I remember we werein Ferguson plumbing, like a plumbing store,
(13:52):
picking out our bathtub and the ringcamp goes off. I'm like,
is that a woman with no shoeson walking in our construction backyard filled with
nails and glass? Yes, itwas ironic. You were in a plumbing
place. Yeah, yeah, sheshould have been in a plumbing place.
And then then I'll provided a toiletfor I'll never forget my sweet husband when
we got home and he went tolook what she was doing, just to
(14:15):
survey the scene. And he comesand goes, I don't see anything,
but it looks like a really bigdog came in our backyard and took a
number two. And then I justlooked at him like, oh, no,
set morning or get through it.Yeah, we'll turn her out,
all right, we got it,you'll get through it. Coffee, well,
(14:35):
Matt, Matt will go get yeah, because it's coffee years whoever made
it, they don't have to makecoffee. It's like water. I know
he's too bad. I know, body you Uh. There is a report
out there on the least wallet friendlyairports out there. Now, where do
(14:56):
you think our port? Our airportlands? I got right. Well,
we're gonna find out if the SanDiego Airport made the list of the least
wallet friendly airports. Coming up nexton the show and Rock with O five
to three. That's switch Foot onthe show. It's Rock one O five
(15:20):
to three. So what was thelast time you've been to our San Diego
Airport if you haven't been there recently? First of all, you know you
got terminal one, which is insanityright now because they're doing all this construction.
Yeah, it's pretty rough. That'swhat I flew out of Southwest to
go to Vegas a few weeks ago, and oh boy, it is a
(15:43):
lot. It is a lot.You got Terminal two, and you know,
each of them have their pros andcons for like food and different things
like that. But do you thinkthat it is if you've been there and
you've gotten anything, do you thinkit's expensive? I would have made you
know, just like anything, yes, yes, yes, yes, well
(16:04):
we're I guess there's a report outon the least wallet friendly airports out there.
Yeah, and it's kind of interestingthe way they looked at it because
it's not just how much stuff costsin the airport, but it's also how
much stuff costs around the airport. So in addition to looking at like how
much if you wanted to get aquick drink before your flight costs and stuff
(16:27):
like that, they also looked atif you need to stay at a hotel
buy the airport overnight, and alsothe parking, how much it costs to
park your car? Stupid. Yeah, and so they took an average,
which I appreciate they didn't just lookat like one hotel and go okay,
that's how much it costs. Sowhen it came to getting a drink inside
(16:48):
the airport, they looked at buyinga twenty ounce Budweiser at three different spots
in each airport, and then theylooked at three different hotels that are closest
to the airport, and then theyactually looked at the cheapest option for airport
parking, and then they averaged itall together to come up with the most
(17:11):
expensive and the cheapest airports in NorthAmerica and coming in number one, very
top of the list. The mostexpensive airport to travel out of is San
Diego? Really, uh huh one, Yeah, that's crazy. And I
was thinking about it compared to otherairports, and what I think really really
(17:33):
gets us is that hotel. Thathotel night Because if you think about other
airports, some airports are in themiddle of like nowhere lands, you know,
where you got to drive somewhere. Our airport is legit right on the
water right downtown. So that's gonnacost a lot more than other airports.
Sure, So what they found herein San Diego is the average hotel near
(17:56):
the airport is gonna cost you fivehundred and twenty nine dollars a night for
an average real probably it seems high. Yeah, I guess I would say
probably, yeah, but I wouldsay in the threes. I guess it
depends on the day, the year, all that stuff. But that I
mean, that seems really hot.But if they're looking at the three closest
hotels to the airport, you know, yeah, like those ones like right
(18:21):
on the water, you know whatI mean? So like if we had
some budget motel somewhere else, AndI'm also interested to know, like what
day did you look or were youlooking on a weekend, a week day,
a holiday, like, because thatchanges it dramatically. But according to
their research, the average hotel nearthe airport is going to be five to
twenty nine a night. To parkyour car is gonna be thirty eight bucks
(18:41):
is gonna be your cheapest option throughthe airport? Is that's not about right,
ed? Because I know you parkyour car. It depends are we
talking about for the day, Likeare you doing the twenty five twenty four
hour thirty eight bucks for twenty fourhours? Yeah, it might even be
on the low end. Yeah, because sometimes we'll do the airport parking.
We just do a weekend trip andlegit park right outside the terminal, and
(19:03):
I want to say, that's fiftybucks you park, It's about fifty bucks.
Yeah, at that point, whynot just Uber? Because then you
don't I mean, at that point, I just wonder, Yeah, because
you have to like wait for yourcar. And I've had surging when it's
been like fifty bucks one way tothe airport, but a wait, it's
I don't know, wouldn't get offthe plane, you hit the Uber and
(19:26):
you walk to the thing. Idon't know if I was not seeing it
correctly, but we flew two weeksago, and when we came out,
the line and I believe it waslike an Uber line to like get in
a queue was about forty people deep. And I looked at that and I
go, that looks like a nightmare. I'm like, I can't be seeing
that right now. I don't thinkthere's a line though, because people just
waiting for the cars. Yeah,I don't like if there's no like line
(19:48):
of who's next for an Uber,it's not how it works. Yeah,
I don't know what it was,but it was in that ride share pickup
area at the airport and there waslike a line of forty people and I
sent to myself, Oh, we'reso smart for parking in the parking lot.
But again, I may it mayhave been aligned for something else,
for like a tour bus or something. I don't know, but anyway,
so yeah, and then as faras getting a beer at the San Diego
(20:10):
Airport, about seven dollars and fortysix cents is the average for a twenty
ounce butweiser cool, I was gonnasay higher was like ten bucks probably?
Oh really yeah yeah, now no, thank you very much forgetting credit where
credits due. I appreciate that.Yeah, if you do enjoy a beer
before your flight. According to thisresearch, the cheapest beer you're gonna find
(20:33):
is at Portland International Airport, whereyou can get a beer for flight four
dollars and forty one said, comeback just to say three bucks on a
beer from San Diego? Done? So, where is the cheapest airport if
you've got to spend the night andpark your car and all of that stuff.
San Jose International Airport And like,by far, so I told you
(21:00):
you want to talk about a turretairport, yes, and everything around it.
Yeah, And my dad worked atthe San Jose Airport for many,
many, many many years. SoI'm very familiar with it. Yeah,
anywhere around there you don't want tostay. No, like the Sky was
saying, it's not pleasant, it'snot you know, beautiful by the water
or anything like that. Yeah,it's probably super cheap hotels, Yeah,
(21:22):
definitely. So here in San Diego, like I said, the total for
that package is five hundred and aboutseventy five bucks. In San Jose,
the equivalent is one hundred and fivedollars. So uh yeah, you're paying
eighteen bucks to park your safe pagefriend drop you off. My god,
you're paying seven dollars and seventy fivecents for your beer, and you are
(21:45):
only paying eighty bucks for a hotelroom in San Jose compared to our five
twenty nine a night. Crazy. So yeah, so we are the most
expensive and San Jose is your cheapest. Kind of surprising though, because it
is still California. It's the BayArea. You know, you would imagine
that that's probably expensive, but Iguess not. It tells you, you
(22:07):
know, San Jose is not thespot. So yeah, I don't know.
It's kind of crazy. There isa woman out there who I guess
is a little concerned because she forgotsomething she maybe or ask I would say,
maybe misplaced. It happens an anniversary, yes, so she wants to
know what she should do about itwith her husband. We're gonna find out
(22:27):
what she's asking all about when weget back on the show at Rocket A
five three Motallica on the show,it's rock one O five to three.
Uh so we've heard before that skywill misplace special dates. It's happened birthdays,
(22:48):
anniversary things like that would never yeah, well remember her half birthday.
Somebody misplaced my half birthday yesterday. So didn't want to bring that up.
But if you're gonna go there, you know who would misplace that? But
the hell's a half birthday? Welleveryone in this room, everyone in my
house does that? I mean not, you know, give you the heads
up that nobody cares. Oh,and everybody's so busy. And that's just
(23:11):
really it's just really it's just reallymessed up. Did your mom remember in
the past she has? Oh?Really? Oh well her, this is
why I love new Dad. Mynew dad probably got in there and said,
hey, uh, your daughter isat her late forties. I think
we could stop this half birthday stuff. You grow up, grow up?
(23:33):
I mean, but We started doingit because my brother's birthday is right next
to my half birthday, so we'reboth celebrated. So Friday we got together
and celebrated my brother. Lady Dad'scoming in and he's taken over. He's
already moved your mom across the country, moved up to you know what I
mean, give me a break, new dad, new rules, new dad,
new rules. If you want tolive under his roof watching night.
(23:55):
Oh really, I just choked itup to. She's a little busy,
she's a little distracted. She's busy. Stop it's my half birthday. Stop
with the half birthday. Okay.So yes, you then expect people to
celebrate you, but you tend toforget when your husband's birthday is, when
your anniversaries are things like that.Yeah, it's a little tough. It's
(24:15):
a little tricky. I try mybest to keep a very good paper calendar,
but unfortunately sometimes things get misplaced onthere and don't know the dates,
your schedule, other things. It'svery confusing. I mean, the sixteenth,
that's at the eighteenth. I don'tknow sixteenth even I know it now,
now you know what do you mean? Now? Daughter's birthdays eighteen that's
(24:37):
why so tricky. This happened beforeyou even had a kid. Yeah,
well, okay, so Scott.Anyway, there is a woman who ran
into a little bit of a situationwhere she misplaced her anniversary and wants to
know what she should do about it. Yeah, last week was her seventh
wedding anniversary, and I guess herlife has been pretty crazy. They re
(25:00):
sly moved into a new house lastmonth. Of course, work, family,
the whole thing. Things have beencrazy. So seventh anniversary rolls around
and a couple days after she realizes, oh, crap, I had misplaced
our anniversary. Got misplace? Youforgot? That was just a couple of
days ago. It was just acouple of days ago. But then all
of a sudden she realizes, well, her husband didn't say anything. No
(25:26):
card from him, no flowers,no gifts, no nothing. So now
she's torn because she doesn't know ifhe just forgot to because again, they
moved, they're busy. Oh ishe playing a mind game because he realized
she forgot, and she now wantsto know what should her next move be.
(25:48):
So last year, on my sixteenthyear of sobriety birthday, my wife
forgot oh yeah, And leading upto it, I knew she forgot because
she wasn't mentioneding, she didn't talkabout it, and I was like,
I'm not going to say anything becauseI want to like wait it out,
because maybe I'm crazy, maybe I'mgonna get a surprise party. It didn't
come, and I waited it out, and then I eventually blew up and
(26:11):
I was like, how could youforget this? And this is the advice
to this tick not to do.My wife took the tactic of it was
by fault. Wait a minute, and I need to understand she has a
lot going on right now. It'sit's been crazy said something and I was
I couldn't believe it. She leanedinto it. The thing is not playing
(26:38):
a mind game. And I'll tellyou what why Because if you really want
hand in the relationship, you havegotten all the stuff because it's a combo.
This isn't a forgetting birthday situation orlike what Thor was talking about.
This is a combo thing. Soif you want to have control of the
relationship, which every everybody does, you want to be you want to have
(27:00):
you get this stuff. You getthe card, you get the flowers,
you give and hand it to her. Then you go, all right,
here we go, now wait formy stuff, and then she doesn't have
anything. You go, oh okay, no, that's okay, babe,
and then you just walk away. Then you have you have the the win
you want. You got that cardback? Oh yeah yeah. Now next
time you screw up, you go, oh yeah, it was like that
(27:22):
one time with our anniversary. Nowin that scenario, Eddie, if you're
the guy, do you hold thecard and the gift and all that till
the very end of the day onyour anniversary? Because I mean I wouldn't
have known that she forgot. Butif she did, then oh then you're
good. You're good either way, thank you very much. You and dumme.
(27:45):
Well, so what should she doif they both legit forgot they both,
then she should say at this pointlike, oh my god, did
you even realize last week was ouranniversary? How did we forget that?
That's how I just keep using it. Oh yeah, I can't believe we
forgot this. What are we gonnado? We should go out and celebrate
or something. We're so crazy withthis move ago. Okay. I recently
(28:08):
had a friend, my buddy Jeffmy best friend. Him and his wife
recently said they were celebrating four yearstogether on their Instagram, and our other
buddies, Zach and Kelsey, gotmarried the same day and Zach Kelsey said
five years. So we were like, who's wrong here, So we went
back and looked and one of themforgot a year and it was Jeff and
(28:29):
Jenna. Oh, they completely forgota year. For the last two years,
they've been a year behind. Welooked back on her Instagram. Yeah.
I told him first to tried toargue with me, and I was
like, dude, we've been married, Yeah, you got married. Yeah,
they completely forgot a year, sothey were a year longer than they
think. That's not good. Well, speaking of Thor, you know,
(28:52):
he's not having a great morning andhe had a rough go with his wife
too. She is not happy aboutsomething he did while he was driving.
And we've seen Thor drive before,so I can imagine we're gonna see what
he was doing coming out next onthe show at Rock with a five three,
(29:12):
it's Marilyn Manson on the show. It's Rock one O five three.
Now. I haven't been in avehicle with Thor in a while. With
him driving because I can't. Ivalue my life a little too much,
and I've chosen to, you know, air on the side of caution.
(29:33):
It really is Sky and I havebeen in a vehicle with Thor driving before.
Emi. Have you ever been inthe car with Thor when he's driving.
I think maybe once, And itwas with Sky and we were going
to Eddie's golf tournament at Saquon.Oh that's right, yeah, yeah,
he was very rember. Yeah,I know because and then going on there's
a couple of turns on your wayto Saquon and one of them was like
(29:56):
over almost like a little like ledgelike a click where you're turning. I
thought I was going over. Iwas. Yeah. The guy drives like
a little bit of a maniac. He's weaving in and out traffic, and
it's, oh, I'll never forgetit, like going so fast, and
I'm like, we're passing our exit. We're passing our exit. And then
all of a sudden, he justlike cuts off and he's he's in it,
(30:21):
and that that was his plan thewhole time. It's not like he
almost missed the exit. No,he was just gonna cut everybody off to
get off faster. So if youare in a car with Thor, you're
definitely taking your life into your owndraft. I tend to disagree. Well,
recently something has happened where your wifewasn't too happy with your driving either.
(30:44):
Oh yeah, so we were ona this was over the weekend.
We were on a double date.Oh, friends, here we go,
and we're going to a comedy chefterthe date and dinner. Uh, we
were late to dinner. It's mywife, and it's always my fault.
I don't know, because if Iwould have let the dogs out while she
(31:06):
was doing this. I mean,we're supposed to be at dinner at six,
she start getting running at four. Not enough time? Oh, not
enough time getting gussied up. Imean, for what we know, these
two people, it's not that bigof a deal. Two hours of my
standard time. Usually I start theprocess like an hour and a half.
But yeah, wow, started startingthe two hours. Two bottles of wine.
Here we go, let's go.How long is he right? Yeah?
(31:36):
Okay, you didn't say that.So we're we get there, we
eat, and then because we werea few minutes late, we have to
go from ut Scene Mall to thecomedy store in the oyak and terrible,
not terrible, but you're gonna hitsome lights, and that parking lot getting
out of the UTC mall nightmare. So we need to be there by a
(31:57):
certain time because I don't want Idon't want to get the before the show
starts, obviously. So we're drivingand I'm hitting every green light. I'm
feeling good. Then we get toa point where you know, what's that
what is that road? You haveto go all the way up Prospect,
Prospect and Prospect. So prospects abitch because you hit the lights. The
(32:20):
traffic Prospect sucks. Everybody knows that. So we're driving, we're hitting red
lights and it's a bumper, kindof bumper to bumper because you know that
you have the two lights are likeright next to each other, and one's
green, one's red. Two lightsso close to each other, and they're
never in sync. So we're atthe point where it's not in sync.
(32:44):
And then I hear sirens behind me, and we know what sirens sound like.
He told us that. So butthis wasn't conference because I immediately go,
what did I do? Okay, like that, and the and the
(33:07):
other couple is in the car withyou to No, No, there they
we drove separate cause they live inCarlsbad. You just said the same thing
about your wife. Yeah, Imean, I mean they were another car,
and I wanted to get there beforethem too, you know, because
then then they're late, you know, and we hear the sirens and I
(33:29):
see, oh crap, it's anambulance. So I always, you know,
you move over to your left soyou get the ambulance go. And
if you're on the right side, right, well you always moved on right.
No, if you're in the left, if you're in the if I'm
in the far left lane, Ican't just cross over three. It depends
what's going on. You are supposedto move to your right. Yeah,
but everyone in the far left lanewent to the left, and then everyone
(33:50):
the right went to the right andopened up for the cars. Because I
was in the far left lane,it wouldn't have made sense to go to
the right. See what in theopposite lanes of traffic. No, there
was a barrier there. I getit now, I get it now.
So everyone kind of just turned thecars to the turning lane section and everyone
so I do that, and theambulance goes in front of me, and
(34:10):
then I noticed what the ambulance passesme. Everyone's kind of sitting there for
some reason, as if there's anotherambulance coming. So I look around.
I put that baby in uh nextgear, and I just start going with
the ambulance. What would be whatwould be the next gear that you put
it in the break of accelerated andI start, I start the stick,
(34:40):
I start going around all the carsthat are split. What do you like
the red sea? Because I wantto get where I need to be without
being late. So wait, sono cars the ambulance goes, cars have
gone, and you're gonna know. And I waited like two seconds. I
went one one, you're right,I went one, missis, and I
(35:00):
just started following the ambulance, notfollowing it. But people were taking forever.
I don't know what people were doing. Once the ambulance passes you,
you could go. You're allowed togo. You don't have to sit and
wait. You are allowed to go. But I always pause just to make
sure another ambulance like is incoming,or there's not a car car or a
fire or turned around. And Ilooked and I didn't hear anything else either
(35:22):
you could hear that on your twoseconds of Mississippi's you could. I have
ears and they're fairly large, prettybig. And I turned around and I
looked, Okay, they don't needto say they are big. I got
it. I turned around and Ilooked nothing. So I'm going, you
know what I'm going. And mywife goes, you can't do that.
She doesn't. You can't do thatthe way witch, Yeah, this is
(35:45):
not right, she goes. Sheusually she doesn't go with because with Tyler
wrote this is not right. Tylerand I go, what's wrong with this?
Like? And then she goes, you need to stop and I go,
I'm not stoppingating. I'm not tailgating, like how much of a I'm
a good car length behind it?Oh? Just a car length? Yeah,
because I don't want to get illegaland illegal. How many cars?
(36:08):
How many cars did you How manycars did you jump so to get behind
I would say, to get behindthe ambulance. No one was moving.
I did some maneuvering around, obviously. How many people did you turn?
All over the place? It waslike a pile up because these people were
in front of you before, likeseven cars seven cars And as we're passing
(36:28):
the seven cars fast. As we'repassing the seven cars, my wife's going,
you need to stop it, yes, And and I go, what
are you gonna do? Hey?They call the police. I may.
And then as we're going up Prospect. As we're going up Prospect, you
know it's a bitch. Well you'reflying. Cars are turned, cars are
turned because they hear the ambulance. And I'm just allegedly going on parting the
(36:52):
Red Sea. Guess and guess what. We got there early, baby,
we got there early. That's brutal, that's not That's the perfect way to
drive, sorry, the perfect wayto drive following ambulance. What I applaud
you? Why? Emily? Whatdo you say? I get a little
farther than a car, like theway, But I'm not. I don't
(37:13):
know. All these people are sittingaround waiting for it once it passes you,
being cautious, being CAUs that's whatthese losers that are saying seventy to
come out with a with a signthat says now it's cool. Some people
are defensive drivers, Emily, okay, looking at me like that. Some
people want to make sure it's safebefore going. He didn't want And some
(37:35):
people feel bad cutting off seven otherdrivers die, you lose exactly. These
two jerks are the If there isa line of cars when didn't get off
an exit, they're gonna go allthe way to the front and cut in
because there's always because there's always oneor two people that are that oh there's
(37:55):
the loine, and then they don'tknow how to merge their cars closer and
they giant gaps. Well, youknow what, I think, you're leaving
that gap for me. So I'mgonna take my I'm gonna take my Corolla,
and you can't if you do itagain, calling the police case that
might be a little extreme, butotherwise, I mean, she's right.
(38:17):
Oh really, because you know whowas on time, that doesn't really matter.
That doesn't seek great seats, greatseats. I pray for the people
where the ambulance was going, thankyou. I never saw an accident where
they were going different place. Idon't think they were going to the comedy
store. Maddy Machado was not inthe lineup yesterday, guys, and it
(38:40):
looks like he might be gone fora few days. Where was he,
We're gonna tell you. Next toSports Dirt, Well, the padres opened
up their series against the Rockies inColorado last night, and Dylan cees he
was on it last night as heonly gave up one hit over seven inni
(39:04):
one another one, leading the Padresto a three to one victory. He
struck out eight, didn't walk anyonein a dominant pitching performance, so that
was another stick, yes, butthe Padres weren't scoring him any runs.
That was kind of the issue. The game was tied at one until pinch
hitter Tyler Wade singled home the tiebreaking run in the eighth and it was
(39:25):
actually the kind of the bottom ofthe lineup. They came up with the
runs for the team that they needed, so that was big for them.
But everybody was sort of confused andasking where's Manny Machado. Why was it
You're not in the line I mean, you open up a series in Colorado,
you want your biggest hitters in Colorado. Where's Manny. Well, the
team has placed him on paternity leaveas he and his wife are having their
(39:49):
first child together, so it lookslike Manny is actually gonna miss the entire
series and the team has called upMatthew Batton to take his place. So
Thorp I have Thor's making these crazyfaces. I usually have Thors back on
this because I always do. Butto me, missing one series for the
baby is not that big of adeal, right, hasn't. I mean
you did Darvish take off like acouple of weeks or one of them?
(40:13):
Did? I feel like there wassomebody that took off longer than and you
had said in the past, becausewe've argued many times that this is no
problem for you. If they werein a playoff in the series, if
it was football, you'd have anissue. But just a regular season game,
you said before. Here's why I'mgonna be back on Friday. Here's
why I'm a little paturned. Ohbaby, you know this is a in
(40:37):
division game. These are important.Uh huh. You're you're a captain of
the team. You're making three hundredand thirty million dollars. Do you want
to miss one game in April?I get that one game in April?
Do you want to miss one child'sbirth? I don't know about you,
Eddie, but if I was makingthree hundred million dollars and I was a
(40:57):
captain of my team, I'd riskI haven't. I have I have a
I have a. I have aresponsibility to my team and the city of
San Diego. Wow, I'm gettingpaid three hundred million dollars. Sorry that
you're never gonna change her mind onthis, because I wouldn't do it.
I would be at the I'd beat the game. And if and once
(41:17):
the birth once like it was likegonna like, once I found out she
was in labor, yeah, thenI would leave. Unless it was the
NFL because that's only one game aweek, then I would leave. But
missing the whole series. What shedoesn't have it was what happens if she
doesn't give birth in the next threedays, they're probably inducing or something.
Maybe if this was the Dodgers, would you feel the same way this was
(41:38):
the Dodgers series. Oh her MookieBets. Oh you're saying if I'm sorry,
I thought we were going to thatbit because it was the Dodgers of
the Giants. The Dodgers are justgonna be either in l A or San
Diego. Then maybe he could makeone or two of the games in the
series and just be gone for thebirth. I understand what you're saying.
Sorry, but sorry, I personallyi'd be at the game. Have you
(42:04):
ever had this talk with your wife. She knows okay, so she would
she would, Yes, I thinkshe'd be okay with my three hundred million
dollars. As me as a wife, I would not. I don't care
how much money you're making. Idon't care if you're the captain or the
lowest person on the team. SkyI help you enjoy your life though.
I do, and our baby willtoo. I'll be there. Thank you,
(42:25):
Eddie, I love you, broEddie, Eddie. Tomorrow is your
wife's birthday, right our Thursday?Yes, you're taking her out tonight?
Yes? What about tomorrow on yourThursday? On her birthday? By the
NFL Draft is on two. Youcan pay three hundred bible to watch it
non option. Luckily they won.But here's the thing. Having a kid
(42:53):
is that I think a little bitare different than having it. I was
just trying. I'm just I'm justdifferent. Not having that great season the
worst team. So it's like anotherreason they can't they get love. I
love. I love that Emily isa fan of the Padres and she wants
to support him. But when Ibring this up about somebody else, she
was all on my So listen, she's got a se on her shirt right
(43:15):
now, Okay, she's the captain. She's the captain. If this was
Aaron Judge, the captain of theYankees making more than would you boot him
more than? I would be pisched. This is Aaron Judgment. What are
you doing the captain of the Yankees? Dude, But we had this conversation
before Yankees. You get a NewYork accent, might happen there. My
(43:36):
problem was with the length of time. I think missing one series the three
games is not the end of theworld. It's when you miss a couple
of weeks for this. I thinkthat's ridiculous. Dumb kid. Oh my
god. NBA Playoffs yesterday I sawa dramatic come from behind win by the
Knicks over the seventy six ers oneoh four to one oh one to go
up two to oho in their series. They were down by like I don't
(44:00):
even like ten points. There werethirty seconds left or something like that.
It was crazy, yeah, andit was like a fury of just shots
they put up in steals and craziness. I haven't seen the Knicks and Rangers
and the Islanders all in the playoffs. At the same time, I was
watching the Islander Game and the NickGame at the same time. Island just
lost it, but it was great. Man. I haven't seen Massis Square
Garden like crazy like that. It'sso much fun when the Knicks are good.
(44:22):
The Calves are also up to ohover the Magic, winning ninety six
to eighty six. The Nuggets alsoup to oho over the Lakers, winning
one on one to ninety nine onthe last second buzzer beater by Jamal Murray.
The Lakers blew a huge lead andthey let it all slip away as
they were up by twenty at onepoint. Yeah, that's a bad,
bad loss for them. Former Jetsnumber one overall pick Zach Wilson has a
(44:46):
new home. He was traded tothe Broncos for a sixth round pick.
Now, Wilson was the second overallpick in twenty twenty one, but his
time in New York has been muchjust to say the least. I think
this is a great landing spot forhim, though, because he's got a
ton of talent and it's gonna bewith Sean Payton. Yep. I'm not
saying he's gonna resurrect his career, but he could, which I am kind
(45:07):
of wondering if this makes the Broncospivot a little bit from looking to draft
the quarterback. I don't know.I just don't know how they're going to
They're drafted at twelve, they don'thave a second round pick. I don't
think. I mean, I justdon't see how they're going to. Well.
Kind of the wild thing about thiswhole thing is that only one of
the five quarterbacks taken in the twentytwenty one first round is still on the
(45:29):
same team that drafted him. Imean, this is not that long ago.
Trevor Lawrence is the only one thatremains as Wilson, Trey Lance,
Justin Fields, mac Jones have allbeen traded. Might be one of the
worst quarterback drafts. That's pretty wild. You know, all of them look
like they were gonna be no brainers. But I think we'll start seeing more
of this because rookie quarterback contracts areso low that yes, so that if
(45:51):
teams aren't if you're not good withinthree years, they're gonna cut bait.
Yeah. Sportstert is brought to youby Palomar Health. Would you really want
to see the Rock as the Presidentof the United States? Some do well
we're gonna see who are our topcelebrity presidential picks these days. When we
get back on the show on Rockone O five to three, it's guns
(46:17):
and roses. On the show,it's Rock one O five to three.
So we had been hearing for alittle while now that people were wanting The
Rock to run for president this year. And you know, all of a
sudden, you get the Final BossRock and he's out there cursing and do
all kinds of crazy stuff with wrestlingagain, and you go, oh,
(46:39):
I don't know if The Rock isgoing to be running for president. Yeah,
I mean does that make him abetter candidate? So, you know,
I don't know what The Rock isgonna be running for president. In
fact, he's kind of come outand said, yeah, political office is
not really my thing. It's it'sprobably not gonna happen. But for some
reason, we like The Rock, and so The Rock was our choice to
(47:01):
be presidential candidate if we were goingto pick a celebrity. But that may
change now as a poll is outof the top celebrity presidential picks these days.
Yeah, so they ask people andgot the overall top ten and then
they let us know when you breakit down by party, what the top
five are one because another one wasOprah for a long time, but Oprah
(47:24):
has been there's been some shady businesswith Oprah recently with the Maui fires.
People didn't like that, this ozempicthing and like all kinds of weird stuff
has been coming out about Oprah andpeople are kind of souring on her too,
So I don't know if she's goingto be in there anymore. Yeah,
it's definitely interesting how things have movedaround, and it's really interesting when
you separate it by party. Butthe overall top ten celebrities we want to
(47:49):
run for president? Number ten,Leonardo DiCaprio, Leonardo, what would make
you think Leo be a good president? Much? Drugs, parties like crazy?
But he does care a lot aboutthe environment and clean water. But
besides that, I don't know,But I don't ever really see him on
(48:10):
the forefront of that stuff. Yes, I know what you're talking about,
and I don't realize that after yousaid it. But it's not like Leo
is always out there campaigning for freshwater. No no, And does he
really like support the environment when he'son those giant mega yachts and jets.
How much carbon emission here? It'sout break number nine. You guys may
(48:34):
not see this coming because I didn'tjudge Judy. She's got too much of
a temper. I don't want tofinger on the button. Yeah, I
don't want to finger on the button. Yeah. And how old is judge
Judy? I want us to stopyounger than Biden? Okay, and probably
younger than Trump. I want toeighty one. I want to stop putting
(48:58):
super old people in the way.Can we work on that? Can we
please somebody? Okay? Number eightcelebrity, we want to run for president?
Matt Damon. I like Matt Damon. I love Matt Damon. He's
a family man, ronmal guy,he's an environmentalist. You know, I
don't see I don't see any scandalsconning. Yes, no, I don't
(49:22):
want that. Ben affleck j lowBrand is plummeting, you guys. And
and she's not selling concert tickets. She's pulling out of the events. Her
music sucks. But according to thenews that's trending today, it's actually because
her and Ben look so miserable everytime they're in public. That's why people
are Because people don't think she's fun. It's not fun. I don't want
(49:45):
to go to a Miserable Chicks concert. So so no, Ben Affleck has
nothing to do with her music. That be a problem too, all right.
Number seven we want Harrison Ford aboutold It was a great president for
a little while. Yeah, soyou have to rerun yeah yeah one yeah,
how old is he in his eighties? Two? Oh yeah? Yeah?
(50:09):
Do you think he sleeps more?Him or Biden? I think we
know both. Eighty one? Really, holy smokes? All right. Number
six goes to George Clooney. Yeah, family members, you live for me
for a family member of mine,he's not a former family member. He
definitely he was married. I meanyou're like your fourth cousin is married to
(50:30):
Yeah, and we were close.I've never met him. You never talked
to him. They were married.Old enough to know that he was even
born, old enough to know thathe had star quality, old enough to
know that Hollywood run through my veinsand no blood relation at all times.
Zero. I think he'd be great. No, I love to go to
(50:52):
the White House. I don't thinkhe'd bring anither stick with his espresso,
okay, espresso. Number five celebritywe want to run for president the Rock
like every time the new final BossRock angry. Yeah, he doesn't take
any crap, but I mean, what is he gonna do rub Putin's blood
on his belt? You mama, that was incredible, Okay, but I
(51:22):
don't think that's gonna happen. Takershows up sick reference happened. Happened a
couple of weeks ago. Yeah, yeah, you've been Yeah, not watching
is running whos His vice president isa stoke cold dude. Is the tribal
chief though, right? Damn thatthey are all right? Brilliant. Number
(51:49):
four goes to Samuel L. Jackson. Excuse me, I don't know why
do we want that? Why dowe want that? I don't want that?
Why do we want that? Weird? Number three Tom Hays, Yeah,
sense he did get a little roughwith that paparazzi when they kind of
bumped his wife like that one.I mean, they was utd we know
(52:10):
of great point his wife. Ididn't like that. You didn't want to
see it. If somebody bought mywife paparazzi because we were so famous,
probably going to George George's house anduh, and they brought my wife by
accident, and my wife and mywife went, I'd be like, relax,
(52:31):
I'm throwing number two. We wantDenzel Washington on the ballot, but
I just don't know anything about hispolitics. It doesn't really talk. That's
a good thing, I guess. And coming in number one Morgan Freeman,
Oh god again, and didn't youhave some shady stuff go down? Yeah?
(52:52):
Yeah, old accusations. Now wouldthey break it down by party?
The Democrats want Oprah Clooney, MorganFreeman, and Tom Hanks when they break
it down, the Republicans want TimAllen, Plynn Eastwood, Judge Judy and
Dale Earnhardt Junior. Hell yeah, all right, these guys are part of
(53:19):
that whole Trader Joe's cult and they'retrying to get me in. So I'm
going to see how well how muchI love these items that they brought in
today. As Eddie tries, TraderJoe's coming up next on the show at
Rock on a five three, Ed, that's some blake on the show.
It's Rock one O five three.All right, I don't get it,
(53:40):
man, this Trader Joe's thing.I liking it to a cult. And
you know when you see different cultstories on Netflix and stuff like that,
you all go like, how didthat happen? How did they get in
this cult? Like? It's weirdman as an outsider, that's me.
I'm the outsider looking ye Trader Joe'scult cultists, and I just I don't
(54:02):
get it. Man, But you'reabout to try to get me into this
cult here as I am about totry some Trader Joe's, Trader Joe,
you talking about Trader Joe's. Igo get it. He's great. Can't
beat the try and now the showand Lululemon is proud to bring you.
(54:23):
It's Eddie tries Trader Joe. I'mnot trying to be difficult. I'm not
trying to upset you guys. Ijust don't get it. Everything I've tried
from Trader Jose is it's okay.I mean, I just don't get the
love of it. It doesn't makeany sense. So I go to Trader
Joe's every Sunday morning after yoga.Of course you do. Cult people do,
(54:45):
okay, And like when I walkin and see the like joy on
the faces of the people at TraderJoe's, you don't find that at a
regular gross right, Like you know, you ever watch a cult show and
you see those people, they're they'rethrilled to a bit suicide. Okay,
okay, escape, Okay, whenyou're in your nikes and you're really really
(55:12):
wait for the aliens to come taketo the mother you're weird, then then
then I'll be like the one overhere, going what the hell happened?
But they're very close to Fredos,But they're not employees hopeful are they?
Not? So many of them andthey're so joyed? Want you in the
cult part of this? Do younot understand? All right? Listen with
I want to be open minded tothis, but I don't feel you do.
(55:35):
Why. I feel that you cameinto this closed minded based on your
scores of all the delightful items webring in, giving honest, honest scores,
Well, I don't like your honestlyI'm not okay, wait, I
don't know how to respond to that. All right, We're gonna try again.
Three of you have gone out andgot things from Trader Joe's that you
swear. I'm gonna like, yes, yeah, well they're delicious. We'll
(55:59):
give it at It looks like Emilyhas a hot item over here, so
I guess we'll begin with you thistime. Thank you. I do have
a hot item. One of thesections I love about Trader Joe's is in
the produce department. Next to it, they have quick lunch fines. They
have ready made salad. I know, but these are like special, These
(56:20):
are special, mixing it up prettymuch. And I found one of these
things a little bit ago, andit's something that's one of my favorite things
is soup. You guys know Ilove my soups. You are a soup
and late soup late. I wantto say something, and so I stumbled
(56:40):
upon the Trader Joe's Unexpected Broccoli Cheddarsoup. What is an unexpected? What
does that mean? Trader Joe's makesa bunch of cool cheeses and one of
their famous cheeses is the unexpected cheddarthat they make. What does that mean?
There's just some funky taste to itthat makes it different. I don't
know. I I I feel likethese two ladies let me down every week
(57:05):
because the team and you come inhere with broccoli cheddar soup. That's just
a bad that's just items. Itdoesn't have to breakfast items, but we
like I like cheddar bro I didn'trealize, yeah, cheddar broccoli is it
could be a hit in the mists. I don't know a m but you
(57:25):
know it's definitely something terrible to bringstarting counts. Can you shut up away?
I like it because it's not asheavy to oh, how cute.
Didn't appreciate the just you know,oh what you looking at? That?
(57:47):
Why it's not so heavy because that'svery liquid, liquidy. Yeah, the
broth is. I mean it's whenyou think of as broccoli cheddar soup.
You want it to be a littlebit thick. It's not your everyday brocoli
cheddar soup. It's unexpected. Canyou give her that it's not expected?
I mean that was expected expect Iknow he's not doing that. You're cooling
(58:08):
the soup down. I just toldyou. But I told you it's different.
It doesn't have to taste like everyother broccoli cheddar. Okay, we'll
say this. What the smell ispleasant? Okay, I'm very getting a
really big aroma of cheese. That'sa good start of cheese. So that's
a good start. Yeah like that. Sometimes you do eat with your nose
(58:30):
first. Okay, okay, well, oh that's an underwhelming face. But
he went for another another uh,you call a bite sip sip. Now
there's there's chewing involved, so hmm, I'm really confused again my brain,
(58:57):
it's not expected. It is unexpected. They got because it's flavorful and it's
not all at the same time.It doesn't make any sense. Full of
flavor slash no flavor. Yes,it doesn't make any sense. I think
the flavor is in the veggies andthings like that. If I were just
to drink the actual soup, thebroth part of it, there's no flavor,
(59:21):
no flavor, like that's what's sounexpected. Yeah, no, third
bite, third bite. Still confused, says oh man, that doesn't make
any sense. I hate the consistency. Oh that that is the most terrible
consistency of broccoli cheddar soup ever.So yeah, it's not supposed to be
like the normal broccoli. On theback end of my palette, talk about
(59:43):
that. I am getting some somecheddar notes that are delicious, But on
the front end of my palette, where you expect, you know, a
little bit more of seasoning and thingslike that, I'm not getting anything.
So it does my brain is allmessed up on it. So it doesn't
make sense. So is it theworst soup I've ever had? No?
Is that the best soup I've everhad? No? Is it unexpected?
(01:00:06):
Yes? That's not a good thing. Oh no, so over, I
mean, dude, look at this. I mean it's supposed to be like
that. I want to be superthick, and I don't want that.
I don't want that. I don'twant that. Four did because I was
yelling. Has Emily ever gotten abovebefore? That's I think she's had the
(01:00:30):
most misses so far. That disgustingthing you brought up. We're all right,
so what do you got for methis time? Okay, so this
time I should say your wife,Hayley, because she's a big member of
the This is a little snack.This isn't really a dessert thing. It's
a little snacky. It's called gonevery crazy. It's dark chocolate covered strawberry
(01:00:53):
pieces. So they're very tiny, but they're only one hundred calories a piece.
I'm watching my weight, but you'reobviously not if you don't like the
lighter soup. Actually, six servingsis one hundred calories, so I can
crustie. They're good little snacks,a little scooby snacks. Yeah, I
have these in my freezer right now. And the banana they're actually the size
(01:01:15):
of Guy's head. No, they'renot gone very crazy, dark dark chocolate
covered strawberry pieces already opened because yourwife totally his wife. Okay, how
tiny they are, like guy said, okay, they're not like stop it.
So these are frozen. There's arethey're frozen? Ye. I don't
(01:01:35):
know why would you. Anything's gonnabetter than when he just ate. So
this is huge for me, ishelping taste a little bit cleanse the palace,
going back for brown to Okay, that's the guy's going back for around.
Well, he has a couples andserving hm hmm. You like it,
don't you You do? Okay, well you like it? What are
(01:01:59):
you doing? That's interesting? It'snot bad for a little snack, for
a little dessert. I don't wanta big, heavy dessert or anything like
that. It's it's not terrible. The frozenness of the strawberry is throwing me
off a little bit. I don'tknow that it's it's it's a little odd
(01:02:22):
to eat frozen chocolate covered strawberries.Yeah, you know, your brain wants
to tell you that your normal consistencyof chocolate dip strawberries. But the frozen
part is like kind of odd.Yeah, but as okay, it's not
your that's great. Taste is notbad though I wouldn't. This wouldn't be
(01:02:45):
a go to thing for me becauseI don't. I don't care for the
frozen part of it. It's notterrible, though. I'll give it a
solid six, which is not bad. That's a pretty good squad give I
popped those. It's like pills. You also just throw in uh frozen chicken
breasts right into the oven and catchupon it. So I can't take you
(01:03:07):
seriously. That is true. Okay, you are last up here in any
Trasher rows nothing blowing me away? What is that? Let me present you
such a grand gesture? Why didyou have it hiding? No fancy can?
It isn't. It's like in aPringles can, Thank you, Trader
Joe's cocoa button way for cookies.I feel this is trying to kind of
(01:03:32):
talk to my Italian heritage a littlebit here. I feel like you need
you have seen these before. Ifeel like you need to eat this with
coffee. Oh, that would beannoyed that we got We got Starbucks earlier
and Scott didn't offered me one.I mean, you're just giving me one?
And why couldn't I have got itout myself? Well, because I
didn't want you to see how there'sbarely any left and like, oh so
again I couldn't. I couldn't.Can we? Can we please stop eating
(01:03:54):
my food? I buy it onSunday. It's sitting in my cupboard waiting
for Tuesday. I know there's onlythree left in here. Oh my god,
did get in there? We all, my whole family loves these.
These are a great little sweet snack. What what is the what is the
ingredients here? What am I lookingat? So? The outside is a
(01:04:14):
nice crispy wafer. It's light.I wouldn't call it a cookie, but
almost similar to like maybe a wafflycone type, yeah, like almost like
a waffle cone. And then insideis a nice layer of chocolate. It's
very simple, but it is adelight. Well, it's not going to
be born in your mouth? Canhear your soup to this? It's just
(01:04:40):
a rough thing to bring, justtrying to change it up. Okay,
there's a crunch. Hm hmm.Yeah. Yeah. This is my week,
you guys, This is my week. Is silk chocolate bright, didn't
you hear? Yeah, come on, sorry, Yeah, this is your
week. Yes, oh my god, I finally out of everything I've tried
(01:05:03):
to Trader Joe's, this is thebest thing I've tried chocolate. I mean,
it really is definitely difficult. Iagree with you, Emily. You
could get this kind of a thinganywhere. I don't know why it's so
special about Trader Joe's. It's definitelynot as good as the ice cream sandwiches
I brought in the first week, which were good. They're pretty good,
the best, pretty good. Herthat's definitely not I mean, Edie just
(01:05:25):
said this is the best, thebest item he's had. Oh, I
can't wait for my school. Yeah, I mean it's it's good, it's
light, it's flavorful, you know, out of most of the things that
I get at Trader Joe's. Becausethey're kind of healthy, they don't taste
as good, so and that's notwhat I'm going for, so I don't
really care for them that much. This not bad. Yes, it's pretty
good. Yes, sky Winds,I will give this and this is this
(01:05:46):
I could eat on a regular basis. I like the consistency, taste,
I like everything about it. I'mgonna give you an eight sky my day.
That's that's pretty delicious. Have youhad one of those? I haven't.
Then keep your pie whole shut.Okay, I'll get your little your
little berry bite aware or not thatgood? What's the calor what's the calorie
(01:06:13):
count on this? Uh? Itis? Take it? Take a bite
of soup now quick. I acceptyour resignation. That's really good. And
ten for two of them? Notwo, it's pretty good. Yeah,
pretty good. You'll be good thistime? Sky sure shockingly let it go.
(01:06:38):
Can we talk about a place thatI actually shot at? Costco?
Okay? I like Costco. Nowwe're gonna find out one of the most
popular items at Costco when we getback on the show on Rock on a
five three Disturbed on the show It'sRocking five three. It's kind of craz
(01:07:00):
to harken back when Emily was nota Costco member and kind of thought it.
Fought us again about it. Nowshe was not into it and would
not. We couldn't convince her.Was the sad time in my life.
What happened? Man? I don'tknow. I changed, I don't know.
I thought Costco was one thing andit turned out to be another Like
I don't know what I was thinking. I thought, you know, you
(01:07:21):
had to have like a deep freezerand be buying all this meat, and
like like I didn't have a bigenough family to buy a Costco stuff.
Yeah, And so we would say, why don't you go to Costco?
And you go, I don't needthat much food. Have you ever seen
her refrigerators. She's got a coupleof refrigers. They're packed to the brint
and and I'm like, you're buyingthat stuff out of regular grosts Stu.
She would save money. She wasso sassy about it always she's just defiant
(01:07:47):
and then she goes and she goes, and now she loves it. Yes,
one of your favorite spots. It'stotally one of my favorite spots.
I love walking around there. Iget joy out of it. Samples say
that's the number one thing, becausethat's not like the number one thing.
It's just like all encapsulated, likeit's all amazing. You love that you
can get ice cream and a tirein the same spot. And I love
(01:08:09):
that they change up everything all thetime, like there's in the little center
aisle. I love the seasonal aisle. Right now. It's all summer forward.
Stop it. Oh so summer forward. So if I were to ask
you what do you think is themost popular item to buy at Costco?
What would you think it is?I mean, people love those Costco rotisserie
chickens. Those fly like hot cakesout of there. Their bakery department is
(01:08:32):
very, very popular. So liketheir muffins and cakes and stuff are delicious.
One I know, the Vertissar chicken, the rotisse chicken. Now,
oh don't you follow accounts? That'show you like new stuff that's coming to
Costco's social media. I think that'swhy it's hard to pick one thing for
(01:08:53):
me, because they have literally thisaccount rotates on the best stuff because they
they bring stuff in and bring stuffout. I got it. Okay,
you gotta take a gander. Whatdo you think is the most popular item
Costco sells? What what you thinkit is? Oh? That's tough on.
Yeah. The artist for chickens probablyreally high up there because it's already
made to go. When I wasliving solo, I love the rotistory chicken.
(01:09:18):
But because I don't, I'm gonnago frozen item. And I'm gonna
say, you get so many ofthose frozen chicken thighs. You know they
last so long? Actually, youknow what, I take it back,
I say the toilet paper and paper. Actually, duh, I was thinking
(01:09:39):
food where it's at? I wasthinking food without a doubt, it is
the toilet paper for me, that'swhat I thought stocked up for years.
Well, but it wouldn't be themost popular because you don't have to buy
it as often. But I don'tknow. My dad for some reason,
(01:09:59):
there's two things he loves buying whatCostco? Toilet paper and the dang water
bottles from Costco. Those two arethe two things my mom too. You
go into her garage, there willalways there's cases. Yes, yes,
care about the environment like a stockforever crazy. So yeah, I would
(01:10:20):
say either water bottles or toilet paper, for sure, those are mine.
Well we know what are the mostpopular items sold at Costco? Yeah?
They look at Yeah that's really weird. They looked at social media and what
are people posting about? When arethey talking? Because you're not gonna get
(01:10:41):
excited about toilet paper. You're gonnaexcited about toilet paper. Well, I
guess we get a really good dealpeople, maybe posting paper? Did you
go Costco brand or the Sharman brandthat's there. Yeah, I don't really
buy toilet paper at Costco. Ishould Yeah, I don't know. Nuts,
I don't feel like crazy. TheCostco brand toilet paper is perfect last
(01:11:02):
years. Yeah, it's not toothick, it's not too thin. I
think it's too thin. How thickis your toilet paper? Pro? I'm
a double ply. It's not goodfor your pipes. Double PLI is not
good for your pipe. I don'tknow. I'm not putting somebody's what I
do. I'm just saying toilet bowlis like an airplane toilet bowl. That's
(01:11:25):
a lot of force. Uses beachtowels. I use beach to clean up.
Yes, that's discussed what I've heard? Are you talking about? Well,
here's a fun fact from this study. There are three states that don't
have Costco. Is that right?Yeah, Rhode Island, West Virginia and
Wyoming no Costcos. It's crazy. They have Sam's clubs probably right. Maybe
(01:11:46):
I don't know. I didn't.I didn't go that deep. You can
do it. Yeah, I'm sorry, sorry guys. So anyway, so,
yeah, they looked at social media. See what people are posting about
the most and here is what wegot. Of course, we got the
paper towels, paper towels. Lotsof people posted about the paper napkins.
I just do paper towels. Wellthat's crazy. You know how I feel
about napkins. Oh yeah, bignapkin. I go paper towels and we
(01:12:11):
cut and we will either split one. I get one, my wife gets
one. Chocolate. The Costco oneshave the little selecticizing, but sometimes we
split one of the SELECTI yeah,it depends on what I'm eating. Wow,
that's a lot of splitting. Toiletpaper is definitely up there, but
outside of that, they're triedent fishsticks were mentioned multiple times. The Kirkland
(01:12:32):
organic no salt seasoning is huge. They're frozen three Verry blend is a very
for the smoothie family. Yeah. The Kirkland leggings. If you're a leggings
chick, Lots of posts about thelegs. This is not a Costco product,
but you buy it at Costco. The Reese's dipped animal crackers, So
(01:12:57):
they're animal crackers sipped in like Reese'speanut butter. Yeah, how how good
is that? Kirkland diapers, KirklandItalian style beef meat balls from the frozen
the Kirkland maple syrup. We haveof course the food Court hot dog getting
lots of yes. And then bystate, California's favorite Costco product is the
(01:13:23):
Kirkland Prosecco yep, delicious, Andoverall the product with the most mentioned from
Costco is the goodles Chetty Mac whitecheddar shells. Yeah, so it's like
(01:13:44):
it's like a box, so itlooks like the Kraft macat Geese box.
But yeap, interesting would not havethought that, like white, where's the
where's the chicken dice? I feltlike I ate some strange food already this
morning with Emily soup over there. But sometimes you hit on something. We're
gonna go over some strange food combosthat actually work. Coming up next on
(01:14:09):
the show, and Rock with afive three is Queen on the show.
It's Rocked on five three And allof us, you know, seem like
we're pretty normal people when it comesto you know, when you're eating food
and stuff like that, but everybodyhas something that they do that is a
(01:14:31):
little weird. Okay, there's alittle weird when it comes to eating food.
You know, there's a combination thatmaybe when you were a kid,
that's why how you eat stuff, and then you just continued it, and
then when you get around your adultfriends that are like, what are you
doing? Man, that's so weird. Everybody has one of those things,
okay, And so apparently there aresome strange food combos that people say,
(01:14:55):
no, these actually are good. You just got to try it. Yeah,
and a lot of them have nowgone viral now because you know,
we have so much social media.Instead of just being weird you and your
family, now the whole world knowsabout it. And so a FOODI website
decided, okay, well, let'stry some of these and see if they're
good. So these are the onesthey say they have tried and they are
(01:15:15):
good, and they recommend to otherpeople ice cream with soy sauce. Who's
the person that even tried that?Like, why would you ever try that?
They say, the sweet and saltyit's best with just like a plain
vanilla ice cream, but they definitelysay it's worth a try. Really.
Oh way, soy sauce isn't justsalty, it's got like that weird mommy
(01:15:38):
flavor that wouldn't be good. Hotcheetos dipped in cream cheese so kind of
almost like a jalapeno pop pers terrible. It doesn't sound horrible. I don't
know why you would do that.Yeah, it necessary, but yeah,
they say some people will make theminto sandwiches, like a cream cheese hot
(01:15:59):
cheetah sandwich. That's insanity. Yeah, kind of like a cucumbered cream cheese
sandwich, but just really different andcrazy and artificial. Yep, uh huh,
this one's wild. I hadn't heardof this one. I kind of
want to try it. Fresh cutstrawberries with black pepper. I've heard of
the black pepper thing on certain fruits. Watermelon, well, a lot of
(01:16:25):
people do. I'm not talking aboutthat, I'm talking about black peppery,
but anyway, I do salt onagain pepper pepper, I don't know.
I mean, like they make thosesalads that you put black pepper on and
strawberry. They say it has asubtle warmth and a bite that elevates the
(01:16:46):
fruit. Can you film yourself tryingthat sky because I'd really like to see
that. Cheese curds dipped in caramelsauce. Well, we don't really have
cheese curds that much out here. It's more of a you know, Midwest
Wisconsin thing. So I don't evenknow. I don't even wan to buy
(01:17:09):
cheese curds. Okay, this,I don't know about this one Cottage cheese
mixed with salsa as like a dipfor chips and stuff. Cottage cheese is
one of those foods I can't evenget near to. I want to like
cottage cheese so bad, because it'spretty healthy and it's a good snack,
(01:17:30):
but I just cannot do it.Yeah, I've used it. I mean
I've used it. I've eaten ita couple of times, and it's just
the consistency. It's so like youI do. But there's just something about
the cottage cheese. It's curdled.I don't like it. Scoops with cottage
cheese. That's like a good stack. So would you put salta you're doing
that? I might as well try. It might not be bad, Okay.
(01:17:53):
Olive oil on ice cream, Well, there's all of oil ice cream
I've heard, you know, ohyeah, okay, and things like that.
So I actually heard of this before. But guys said that she was
going to drop a bombshell. Oliveoil on ice sauce is weirder weirder.
Yeah, that's way because there's noflavor that much with olive oil. Yeah,
(01:18:14):
like there's some olive oil trend goingon right now with putting it in
your coffee and like, yeah, yeah, I think Starbucks may even be
selling Yeah, okay your poppies butterypopcorn, buttery, hold the many marshmallows.
I don't like marshmallows. You don'tlike marshmallow? Really? No,
(01:18:36):
like like a more. I'll havea more, but I'm only doing one
marshmallow. If that maybe I'm nota marshmallow fan. Do you like rats
christy treats? No, I'm amarshmallow fiend. I love marshmallows. Yeah,
this doesn't sound that crazy to me. Sweet crazy. I'd rather have
(01:18:59):
like m and ms in your popcorn. Yeah, we're doing the or just
the butter. No, I dothe popcorn and we have the sea salt
caramel. Gardellis now with the popcorn? Are you carmel? Okay sales,
that's not one of our I say, cormelt Okay weird? They say this
(01:19:26):
one's kind of an old school one. Peanut butter and bacon has come back
around again because people are making peanutbutter cookies and putting chopped up pieces of
bacon in them. Elvis, Yeah, right, No, we don't need
that. Okay. This one I'vedefinitely seen on social media, and I
think some company has even released italready pre mixed in a can. It's
(01:19:48):
a dirty soda, so soda withcreamer in it. So you get coke
and you put creamer in it,like the milk and pepsi thing. Yes,
exactly, the used to do yethey called a dirty soda. Yeah,
they say it actually is surprisingly good. H apple pie with a slice
of cheddar cheese on top. Oldschool, old school. And the final
(01:20:11):
one at the top of their list, another old school one, but they
say this is the best out ofthe bunch. Is French fries dipped in
a milkshake. Yup, it's disgusting. I like that. My son had
an Orieo milkshake the other day andfries and I took a couple and dipped
him in. It was delicious hismilkshake. Yeah. Did he approve that,
Yeah, he was fine with it. He was dipping. He was
dipping too. He likes it too. He let me have a couple.
(01:20:33):
Why would you want something hot onsomething cold? You wouldn't know. It's
kind of a good taste of salt. Now what that? What right?
You got you and your son? That's it. We have heard of people
talking about wanting to live off theland or move into a tiny home.
(01:20:57):
Let's let's just go live in avast So I'm gonna see if we could
actually pull that off or not whenwe get back on the show on Rocking
five three, Mattelka on the showIt's Rock one five three. Flores told
us before that if his wife Haleyhad her brothers, she would be totally
(01:21:20):
fine with living in the van.Oh yeah, like that's kind of her
dream, right, Yeah, sothat was the plan. So when she
first moved out here when she wastwenty one, she lived with her friend
Kimya, and then eventually the planwas her and Buster, we're gonna live
in her dog, We're gonna livein a van in Obi. And then
her step dad got diagnosed with cancer, so she went back to go live
(01:21:43):
with him and helped take care ofhim. And then when she came back
here years later, that was stillher plan until I got in there off
her feet. Oh wow, butbefore then, you weren't into the plan.
In the van. No, Iwould not want to live in a
van. Propose to you. Uhno, okay, she just always this
(01:22:05):
guy for five minutes and no,he's not going to get she knew me.
She still would love that, orshe she did make me if we
ever have kids, she wants whatshe wants to travel before we have kids,
and then the vans, the vanlife would be gone because she wants
to live in the country. Soso that's those So either van or country
(01:22:27):
if she could. Would you thinkshe would want to live off the land?
Oh, homest so she would lovethat because that's kind of how she
grew up. I'm not going todo that. So I agreed that we
would live in a bigger property, but if we ever had kids where it's
like an anchor or something. ButI would never want to live in the
(01:22:48):
middle of nowhere living off the land. I couldn't do it. I still
need to be near a city, near a city like San Diego or something
like when we was a and eventhat, after a while, I was
like, I don't know if Ican do this anymore. So like,
yeah, so I don't know ifwe're gonna have kids. So growing your
own food, killing your own animals. You Yeah, I remember. I
(01:23:11):
mean I've told her she could dothat. Oh yeah, I told the
story before. Well, she'd justbecome a vegetarian. I don't know if
she'd kill a deer or something.But actually I don't know how she.
I don't know if she's got hunting, if she was raising chickens. Yeah,
you know, and she she wasaround animals all the time. Where
there was a deer cheach in herliving room and they had to get it
out of the little bit because theyleft the door open. The deer just
(01:23:33):
came walking in. She is asilly guy. Okay, So she could
live off the land, I think. So she can live in a van.
Yep, what about a tiny home. Oh that's tough because we kind
of live in one now. Yeah, it's miserable. Yeah, it's miserable
because we have too many animals. But like I said, if it was
(01:23:55):
just her and Buster, her dogpassed away, yes she would do it
because and what she wanted to do. Never wear shoes. You'd think she
was a troll and ob then youcome to talk to her and you,
oh, nuts salivate that likes takingher out, So you think she's a
throw it'll be. But then whenyou got to talk anywhere, you realize,
oh, this this woman has ajob. She's just nuts. Yeah.
(01:24:15):
Wait, this question was asked recentlyin a pool about those three things.
Yeah, so three separate questions, but all definitely related and you know,
similar types of way. So firstthey said, would you ever consider
homesteading a self sufficient lifestyle that involvesyou growing your own food things? I
(01:24:44):
really enjoy being five minutes away fromWalmart? Well, you also grocery shop
every day? Yes, And Ihave the worst screen thumb ever. I
could never grow anything. No,oh, battle plans, Hayley. Actually,
we have a garden in front ofour house right now, and she's
grown tomatoes, lettuce, all thiscrap. She's always going out there and
(01:25:05):
picking something and makes it freaks meout because we let the dogs pee in
the front yard and I'm like thatwe do, dogs don't pee there,
and she reminds me we have shemade garden beds elevated at my house.
I have several fruit trees where Igot oranges, lemons, pomegranates, things
like that, and I kind ofenjoy having those. That being said,
(01:25:30):
would I want to have you know, that's the only way I survive.
It's a risk if I have somebad crops. I don't know. Uh,
you know, it's got to bea family thing, because like when
we had our chickens, you know, I wasn't getting in there. I
made my wife and daughter take careof those chickens and bring me the eggs
and so, you know, theywere living off the land. You got
(01:25:53):
to pull your weight. You gottado your part. So if I had
some help with all, you know, my family and stuff, could I
do it? Yes? Would Iwant to do it? No? Oh
no, not really. But yeah, I'm like why, Like why why
I answer that question? Scott?Yeah, a nature, peace, quiet
(01:26:13):
nature. Basically they don't want tobe around other humans. But Sky,
you say, call beata bathe youdon't want to be around humans. My
husband definitely doesn't. Yeah, yeah, that's his motivation. Nature and peace,
that's my motivation. But you've neverlived in anything similar to that situation
ever, Like we lived in amaland it was kind It wasn't anywhere near
we're talking about, but it waskind of out there. It's hard,
(01:26:36):
I gotta it's it's a pain theass to have to only live off that
in the middle of nowhere. Idon't think you and your husband could do
it. I don't. I don'tmean that in a mean way. It's
just when you've never done it before. Yeah. Well, right now,
we have apples, lemons, grapefruit, and tomatoes going, and we're about
(01:26:58):
to build three veggie bits. Sowe're going to try like a little trial
run at our so to get readyfor it. Well, no, just
because I just want to see becausewe watch a homestead rescue all the time
Discovery on Discovery, and like,it's definitely something we talk about for the
future. So having all those fruitsand vegetables is great to mix in with
(01:27:21):
all your uber eats that you get. I don't understand. What. Oh
yeah, so that's the thing diein less than a week. Well I
wouldn't, he would. So youknow, I need very little food to
survive. I don't care about eating, so me having you know, a
salad once a day. When doyou eat all these foods that you just
referred to. I've never heard youtalk about eating, you know, salads
(01:27:44):
that you make out of your ownvegetable. We haven't made the vegetables garden
yet. Try you eat greape food. Often we are about to have our
first crop, so we planted themas little tree, so like less like
she was, you know, jacklemon. We're gonna have a much better
crop this year. Right Like lastyear we got like five apples because it
(01:28:05):
was a brand new tree, andright now we probably have like thirty apples.
Yeah. Yeah, what's allowed onhomesteads? Like, I don't,
I don't. I'm sorry, don't, I don't. I don't know what's
allowed? And when you're doing that, are you allowed to like so you
have to grow literally you could buynothing. Ever, No, No,
there's no, there's no things thatwere allowed, things that were No.
(01:28:27):
It just depends where you're at,Like if you're so isolated that you can't
get to those, so are youallowed like TVs whatever you want? I
believe you can do whatever you want. Yeah, because people nowhere, it's
not like it's not like the Amish. There's not rules. It's not rules,
it's just what I guess you gettwo constitutes you being on a homestead
(01:28:50):
or not. I guess you gettwo people that just have nothing going on,
that maybe don't like to, youknow, hang out with anybody,
no social life, and they justsay let's get away from everybody. Wow,
that sounds great for them. Well, they pulled thirty thousand people and
forty eight percent say yeah, Icould be a homesteader, with nineteen percent
(01:29:14):
saying definitely I could do it.Dude, imagine like having to get water
from a well every day, goto the bathroom with like the well.
You can pipe the well to yourhouse. You don't have to take it
out with a bucket. Well,I've seen it on homesteads so many times.
You just dig down to the waterand the layers of gravel and soil
are the best filtration that the moneyyou're hunting or can go vegetarian. I
(01:29:40):
think we're going to go mainly vegetarian. We'll do eggs and maybe if we
can stomach it, slaughter the chickens. We've discussed its slot, which was
doing it? You were him?He loves to touch a piece of chicken.
Yeah, point yeah, yes,I do. Yes, a chicken
breast, I will, I willwear the frozen chicken. And he doesn't
like to cook. He does liketo cook anything. But now we can
(01:30:00):
be out there slaughter and chickens.Slater. Yeah, let's just say it.
What Okay, excuse me. Ihave discovery, Plus I can do
it. Okay, next, livingin a van, you guys, now
that sounds insane, right, ButI've seen some tricked out vans. Oh
yeah, you're like, they'll openit up and you're like, oh,
(01:30:23):
there's a stove right there and theyhave this and they have this flooring led
lights in there. Yeah. Icould do, but they make it like
an RV because there's a lot ofTikTok. People were reels where they're like
Van Life day fifty eight, youdon't need to talk like that, and
then they make it seem like it'sthe greatest thing they've ever done in their
lives, and you're like, whycan't I do this? I don't Again,
I'm going to say this to beclear. I can do it,
(01:30:45):
I don't want to do it.I think it would be cool for a
couple of months because it's a camping. Camping is great for a week.
Yeah, I don't know if Iwant to be camping for the rest of
my life. That's it's a littlehard having to go to the gym to
shower or like the public restroom becauseit's all those fans don't have, you
know, you're right. They havean RV ME an AIRBEATM beer freaking hotel
(01:31:09):
man, you are a princess.Oh yeah, Oh I don't want to
do it. I'll be complaining withinlike three weeks. Yeah, three weeks
making it that long, like that'sthe max. That's like me, like
really tough in it three weeks andthat I'm like, screw this life.
Yeah, I'm surprised the poo hasn'tdone. We'll go here. We should
do a fan life. No,I don't think it's too many people.
(01:31:31):
Yeah, too close, too muchtraveling. No, no, we don't.
We don't need that. Well, would they ask? Thirty six percent
of Americans said yes, and thirteenpercent say I'm looking into it. I
actively want to do that now.Half of them are under thirty years old.
And finally, a tiny house,a house less than five hundred square
(01:31:54):
feet? How many of us coulddo it? Want to do it?
Which same answer is the other two? Could I do it? Yes?
Would I want to do it?No? I have no interest in them.
But you know what, if Iwas a single man and that's just
where my life took me, couldI do it? Yeah? But I
don't want to. That's the key. If I was single, yes,
(01:32:15):
yeah, if you were with morethan one person studio, I wouldn't want
to. I lived in a fourhundred and ninety square foot house and pep
one time what was a studio andit was tiny, but I was by
myself, so it didn't matter. It was kind of fun. Actually,
yeah, by yourself, I cando. Me and the Hobby have plans
for if the homestead doesn't work out. We are moving after our daughter moves
(01:32:38):
out, when we're moving into theadyu, and then we're going to rent
the house. Why why just rentmuch money? You retire retirement money,
you know, rent for three thousandbucks a month. Yeah, but we're
gonna think about how much the bighouse for. It's funny you have another
house that you can actually rent out. Okay, okay, can you know
(01:32:59):
you could I actually be doing this? Well? Can you very nice retirement?
Right now? We have very nicetenants and I don't want to raise
the Rentmornices. There was a managerthat got tossed from a game yesterday for
doing nothing. It's insane. Wewill see what happened in the game where
this manager got ejected next to sportsdirt. Hey, well, the Padres
(01:33:26):
open up their series against the Rockiesin Colorado last night, and Dylan sees
through a gym. He only gaveup one hit over seven innings, leaving
the Padres to a three to onevictory. He struck out eight, didn't
walk anyone in a dominant pitching performance, but the Padres weren't really backing them
up, not scoring him any runs. The game was tied at one until
(01:33:47):
the pinch hitter Tyler Wade singled homethe tie breaking run in the eighth and
that's all they needed to get thewin and the victory. Now, where
was Manny Machado? He wasn't inthe line. I know people were kind
of going, what's what's man where'sMane? Well, the team placed him
on paternity leave as he and hiswife are having their first child. What
(01:34:09):
a special moment. Congratulations to theMachado's. Yeah, they win the series.
Well he's actually going to miss theentire series because of it. That's
Friday. Yeah, real team leader. Hey kid, Yeah right, I'll
tell you what. But if mywife was having was having a baby,
and I was in a three game, I was making three hundred million cap
(01:34:29):
for the Padres in a three gameset against the Rockies. I'm missing the
game and she knows that it's afour game set. Actually even worse,
just say good luck. Well,I would say, hey, when you
when your water breaks, let meknow and I'll make sure I fly out.
And then what stay? Well, then I see the baby, Oh,
cute, cute. Back to blackdoesn't come out right away. Sometimes,
yeah, sometimes it could be liketwenty four, twenty six hours.
(01:34:51):
I'll look at the baby. Cutecute. I'm out of here, right,
okay, well, yeah, tomake it three hundred mili things,
there's more things are important, andyou know what the child. You know,
that child is going to be verytaken care of the rest. But
you're just said money is more importantthan your own child. That is why
you can respond. I have aresponse. Take a breath. I can't
(01:35:12):
when somebody says something so stupid. You one time you said marriage is a
financial transaction. I thought, that'swhat the stupidest thing. Well, that's
really stupid. That being said, you just sold me thorn. After that,
I forgot all about that comment.I mean, I said, there's
love too, but not really. The NBA Playoffs yesterday, side dramatic come
(01:35:32):
from behind win by the Knicks overthe seventy six ers one o four to
one on one as they go uptwo oh in their series. Calves also
up two oh over the Magic, winning ninety six to eighty six, and
the Nuggets also up two oh overthe Lakers, winning one on one to
ninety nine on the last second buzzerbeater by Jamal Murray. The Lakers actually
blew a huge lead that would allslip away as they were up by twenty
(01:35:54):
at one point, so that's aterrible loss for them. Yankees manager Aaron
Boom was he jet did yesterday intheir game just five pitches into the game,
when the umpire thought he yelled somethingat him, but he didn't now
it was actually a fan. Whatnow, umpire hunter window sticks. He
(01:36:15):
tossed Boone after he argued about theprevious batter getting hit in the foot.
They had a little back and footfor it. The umpire then told him
if he said anything else, he'sgone okay, So okay. Then all
of a sudden, a fan yelledsomething from the direction of the dugout.
The umpire thought it was Boone andtossed him from the game. No Boom
(01:36:36):
came out was like, that wasn'tme, that was a fan, and
Boone's just standing there chewing gump andthe fan you can see the fan yell
out something like come on home plateor something like nothing even crazy, and
the umpire just tosses him. Andso so Boom came out and said that
wasn't me, that was the fane, and the umpire says, I don't
care, and then oh damn. And then in the Empire's postgame conference call,
(01:36:58):
he basically said a responsible not andI don't care. I'm not gonna
throw out a player and Aaron's responsible, like and but there's good. The
problem, this is one of thebig problems with Major League Baseball, is
that they don't do anything. There'sno there's no discipline for the umpires.
Nothing's gonna happen, and that's it. It's insane. Yeah, yeah,
that's one. It's just crazy. Why are they giving umpires so much power?
So weird? I mean, it'sit's okay to say I made a
(01:37:21):
mistake, yeah, but there theiregos will never let them do that.
Yeah, because that's even an understandablemistake. People would understand it came from
the same direction and he could he'sand people would understand. You make a
big to do about it and thatwhole thing, and then you got to
come back and be like one day, one day, we're going to see
a player or a coach snap andjust punched on fire in the face and
(01:37:44):
telling me it's gonna happen. I'mshocked it hasn't happened. But how hot
they get unless they're just putting onshows? But I don't know, man,
all the steroids they're on. Wow, that is sports today. It
