Es importante entender que la sangre de los animales no podían pagar el pecado. Dios no aceptó el cordero de Abel como pago por su pecado. El pecador debe pagar el pecado quedando separado de Dios para siempre. Pero Dios perdonó el pecado a Abel y lo aceptó, porque Abel confió, no en sí mismo, sino en Dios que había prometido enviar al Libertador.
