Sami Modiano è un uomo di 92 anni. È l’ultimo testimone rimasto della deportazione della Comunità Ebraica di Rodi. Ogni estate torna nella sua isola e ogni mattina va alla sinagoga, la stessa di quando era bambino, accoglie chi arriva e racconta loro la sua storia e quella della sua comunità. Lo fa per dirsi che è vivo e che è qui per continuare a ricordare.
