Steven Pladl è il padre perfetto: se sua figlia piange la chiude in una borsa frigo finché non smette. La sua compagna decide di darla in adozione per salvarla. Quando finalmente Kate raggiunge la maggiore età, la famiglia si riunisce, ma le cose non sono belle come sembrano e un grosso problema morale prende il sopravvento e Steven Pladl perde completamente la testa.
