El Banco Santander está en el número 31 de los bancos que más han invertido en fósiles en el año 2023. Invirtió 15.000 millones de dólares, más que cualquier otro año desde que se firmó el Acuerdo de París en 2015. Y el BBVA y Caixabank tampoco se quedan atrás, uno está en el puesto 39 y el otro en el 47, llegando entre los tres bancos españoles a los 26.000 millones de dólares invertidos en combustibles fósiles en 2023.
