I understand this may be controversial. Based on my own history and the countless clients I have helped overcome anxiety, let me tell you one ‘awful’ truth: If we are not mindful of how we respond to anxiety, the chronic urge for self-protection can lead to us becoming lesser versions of ourselves.

Trust me, I know that anxiety is not a choice – and certainly not our fault. And I have nothing but compassion and understanding for anyone who suffers from anxiety. However, what we can’t do is let our unhealthy reactions to anxiety become our identity and overshadow the best parts of who we are.

In this week’s episode of Empowerment Solutions, we explore how anxiety-triggered self-preservation can bring out our shadows. We also discuss how, instead of succumbing to its demands for immediate relief, we can respond to anxiety with calmness, care, and compassion and thus foster a deep trust in and appreciation for ourselves.

This isn't just another podcast episode; it's an opportunity to transform your relationship with anxiety and embrace a life of empowerment and authenticity.
