Harvey's first guest is Jeff Halstead. Halstead retired as a Deputy Chief in the Phoenix Police Department and then went on to lead the Ft. Worth Police Department as their Chief of Police. He now serves as the CEO of Evertel, a secure messaging company for first responders.

In this episode, you will hear Halstead's encounters with the police as a young 19 year involving him and his sister that caused him to hate the police. It wasn't until years later that a another police officer changed his attitude and eventually went on to have a successful police career at the highest levels. Halstead turned his negative experiences into something positive for victims of domestic violence.

There are great leadership nuggets throughout the show that will help you. Also, Jeff discusses Texas SB 944 and other similar bills across the country that affect our profession! If you are a police leader, you need to hear this! And we will always end the show with an Excellence in Policing Officer exemplifying the very best in our profession. Huge props to California Highway Patrol Officer Rodriguez!
