Soaring into Greatness: a Blind Woman’s Vision to Live her Dreams and Fly is a personal memoir of courage, truth, perseverance, and determination. President Jimmy Carter commented after reading it “A beautiful story of someone who has overcome a physical handicap and changed it into a force that is an inspiration.” The book reveals how Gail lost most of her sight at birth and became totally blind at age eleven. However, this monumental event did not stop her from living my passion! Gail loved music and left home for college to pursue her dreams. Gail was honored to have leading roles in “La Boheme” and “La Traviata” while in graduate school. Like many young folks, she lost herself in a relationship, only to re-discover my independence and dignity later.
