Imagine being of childbearing age and learning that you have endometrial (uterine) cancer; that you need a hysterectomy and will no longer bear biological children? The shock, the grief and the healing process can be overwhelming. Imagine being fearful of the potential risk factors that may be passed down to daughters, and the fear of a cancer reoccurrance. Today my guest, Kate McGondel, an endometrial cancer survivor will take us on her personal journey from self awareness, diagnosis, treatment and survival. September is Gynecological Cancer Awareness Month. Let's all wear our peach colored ribbons in support of the brave women affected by GYN cancers. Go Peaches!!
