In this episode of JLA, we send love and prayers to those affected by recent winter storms and power outages across the south and southwest. We talk about those on the ground, offering valuable support like the non-profit Samaritan’s Purse, who provided disaster relief by feeding the hungry and homeless and organizing volunteers to help.

We also give a shout-out to people and organizations who inspire us like the Ladies Philoptochos Society of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Manhattan and the 62 Philoptochos chapters that are part of the 62 Greek churches in the New York tri-state area who recently donated 64,000 diapers to families in need; and to Kahua Paa Mua on the Big Island of Hawaii, a culturally-based, non-profit working to build resilient communities through agriculture; and Karen Warner Schueler's work as the Sudden Caregiver.
