In this installment of the Virtual Government’s Series ORRA The Informationalist presents: "Manipulation of Algorithms and Censorship in the Digital Age" The use of algorithms by big tech companies to manipulate the content that people are exposed to is concerning. Through the use of algorithms, big tech companies are able to control what people see and hear, and they are able to promote their own brands and interests, while censoring content that could be seen as a threat to their own goals. This is a form of censorship, and it is damaging to people’s ability to access unbiased, quality content. Furthermore, this censorship is preventing people from accessing valuable information that could help them make more informed decisions, and it is preventing them from having access to the truth about how governments and corporations are manipulating the public in order to maintain their own power. This kind of censorship is dangerous, and it should be stopped. We need to ensure that people have access to unbiased, quality content in order to maintain an informed and empowered population.
