Contemporary Country duo Poppyiris brings a romance twist to their debut country album, Love Just Knows, OUT NOW. Musicians Deedee O’Malley and Mike Lusk, the duo behind Poppyiris, who formed in 2016, have combined classic R&B, country, and folk to create a distinctive sound. On the album, Poppyiris teams up with Tennessee based producer Peter Young and G Nick, a Baltimore producer who has mixed tracks for Grammy Award-winning singers Toni Braxton and late soul singer-songwriter Betty Wright. The ten-track album, Love Just Knows, includes their chart-topping single “Ain’t No Secret”, which is currently charting on National Radio Hits Country Top 50 and New Music Weekly.
Poppyiris, named after their state flowers respectively (California and Tennessee), have a combined career spanning over 20 years. Their vocal and instrumental talents featured on hit songs performed by legendary musicians, including Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, and Santana. On why they recorded the ten-track album, Love Just Knows, the duo says they “wanted to create music that would resonate with the world.”
