March 16th, 2021, 21 year old Robert Long opened fire in three different massage parlors in Atlanta, Georgia. Claiming he was fueled by sexual addiction and wanting to rid the world of those temptations, he went to spas he previously had paid for sex and killed 8 and injured 1 other. Although he claimed it wasn't a racist attack, the media ran with that narrative at a time when Covid-19 was causing resentment against the Asian community.
