Evil Dead Rise è il quinto capitolo del popolare franchise di Sam Raimi, e introduce alcune nuove idee nel tentativo - in generale riuscito - di affrancarsi dela ormai trita formula della capanna nel bosco. L'azione si sposta quindi in un condominio in area urbana, in cui la solita registrazione sacrilega scatena il male e la furia dei deaditi.
