My special guest star for episode #152 is Susie Singer Carter, an award-winning writer, playwright, director, producer, actress, podcast host, and Caregiver Advocate. Her Oscar-qualified short film, “My Mom and The Girl” starring Valerie Harper in her final beautiful performance, won numerous awards. Her talk show, "Love Conquers Alz", received Best Podcast 2020 by New Media Film Festival and is now in its third season. And she’s currently writing, producing, and directing a critically needed documentary, No Country For Old People, inspired by her Mother's last 6 months of life in a Long Term Care facility in 2022. Her power of storytelling has attracted an impressive list of the most talented and staunch advocates to contribute to the film, including the National Consumer Voice for Quality Long Term Care who are fiscally sponsoring the film by providing a 501(c)(3) status.

Susie, I LOVE that you had the courage to turn your family’s hard times and heartache into an impassioned movement to improve the care for everyone needing the nursing home system. And I ADMIRE your fierce determination and the creative weapons you’re using to speak truth to a large, powerful and ruthless system affecting so many who feel powerless. And I’m super HAPPY that you’ve shared your passionate, resilient, and unwavering spirit on our show today.

With love, Matt (a.k.a. Mr. Happy Living)
