Il dogma dell’Assunzione fu dichiarato da papa Pio XII30 con le parole: ‘L’ Immacolata Madre di Dio, Maria sempre Vergine, quando il corso della sua vita terrena fu compiuto, fu assunta corpo ed anima nella gloria del Cielo.’ Vediamo innanzitutto i motivi teologici di questo dogma, e poi il suo fondamento nella Sacra Scrittura.
