Tour de France: Tadej Pogacar secures title as Sam Bennett wins in Paris Slovenia's Tadej Pogacar confirmed his victory as the second youngest Tour de France champion in history after Sam Bennett won the final sprint in Paris.21-year-old Pogacar overhauled long-term race leader Primoz Roglic with a stunning time trial win to claim the yellow jersey on his Tour debut. Bennett secured victory in the points classification to become only the second Irishman to win the green jersey, after Sean Kelly won four between 1982 and 1989.Britain's Adam Yates, who held the yellow jersey for four days before Roglic took it on stage nine, ended ninth overall, 9mins25secs behind.
US Open 2020: Bryson DeChambeau storms to first major title at Winged Foot, New York American Bryson DeChambeau has won the US Open by six shots to claim the first major title of his career. The 27-year-old was the only player to break par at the notoriously difficult Winged Foot, in New York. Renowned for his big-hitting approach, the world number nine showed maturity and composure to card an impressive three-under 67 to win on six under par. South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen, who finished third at two over, and Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy were the only non-Americans to place inside the top 10.World number four McIlroy ended joint eighth at six over after a final-day 75 that included two double bogeys, while England's Lee Westwood was a stroke further back. DeChambeau dedicated the win to his parents, who he said had given up so much for me. Ajagba overwhelms Rice to win 14th career fight Nigeria’s heavyweight boxing sensation, Efe Ajagba, improved his unbeaten boxing record to 14-0-11 with a unanimous decision win over Johnnie Rice on Sunday, despite fighting with an injured elbow. The fight is Ajagba’s debut for new promoters Top Rank, after spending three years with former promoters Ring star Sports and going unbeaten in 13 bouts, with 11 knockouts. Judge Max DeLuca had the bout at 98-92, while judges Adalaide Byrd and Dave Moretti scored it 99-91 in favour of Ajagba. The 26-year-old Nigerian landed 131-of-406 punches, far exceeding Rice, who had just 39-of-269. The defeat means Rice suffered his second straight loss in 2020.1. Let's start with the English Premier League table. Leicester are on top, Everton are second, Arsenal are third. Defending champions Liverpool are fourth. All these teams have 6points each but are separated by goals. Of the four, only two have won the league in the last 10 years. Which of the four do you think will still be in the top four by December?
Let's talk about Manchester United and their start to the season. 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. Could this be United's 8-2 moment? Recall when they defeated Arsenal 8-2 at the Theatre of Dreams, leading Arsene Wenger to go and get like 5 players on the final day. Is this the loss that will make the Glazers bring out their cheque book and get some additional quality for Ole because the current squad are not looking like the real deal?3. The main event of the weekend in the EPL was undoubtedly Chelsea v Liverpool. And it didn't disappoint. A red card and probably a wake-up call for Frank Lampard. Besides the absence of new signing Ziyech and Chilwell, what else do you think went wrong with the Blues on Sunday?4. He's not your biggest fan - Arturo Vidal. Reports say he's on his way out of Barca to Inter Milan in the Serie A. Who will fill the Chilean's shoes at Barcelona?
