Joshua Buatsi overcomes early scare to stop Marko Calic in seventh round Joshua Buatsi endured a swollen eye and an early scare before stopping Marko Calic in the seventh round of a brutal light-heavyweight battle. The 27-year-old preserved his perfect professional record with a display of grit and firepower as he overcame the Croatian's aggression in the opening rounds, then explosively forced the stoppage to bring up his 13th straight win. Buatsi quickly found the range for his swift jab, despite a 13-month absence from the ring. A right hand sent shockwaves through the legs of Calic, who received a count, and the towel was thrown in by his corner after a further barrage from Buatsi, who revealed that his opponent suffered a suspected broken jaw.
London Marathon 2020: Eliud Kipchoge beaten as Shura Kitata takes title World record holder Eliud Kipchoge was beaten in the London Marathon as Shura Kitata won a thrilling sprint finish to claim an unexpected victory. Four-time winner Kipchoge was the favourite, but fell behind with two laps to go and finished eighth.

Both races were run in cold and wet conditions on a specially designed closed-loop course because of coronavirus restrictions. Lizzie Deignan & Primoz Roglic win Liege-Bastogne-LiegeracesBritain's Lizzie Deignan won Liege Bastogne-Liege in Belgium on Sunday to claim her first ever 'monument' - one of cycling's biggest one-day races. The 31-year-old Trek-Segafredo rider said having the "perfect team" was key to ending her wait to win a'monument'.Deignan made a solo break with 24 kilometres left to open up a minute's lead. Australian Grace Brown produced a late counter-attack to get within 10 seconds, but Deignan held on for her third victory since the season resumed. Alex Telles: Manchester United make breakthrough in talks over Porto full-back Manchester United are set to sign Brazil full-back Alex Telles after agreeing a deal with Porto. United had been struggling to finalise terms with the Portuguese club but have now agreed a fee of 15 million euros plus 2 million euros in add-ons. Porto previously wanted £18m for a player who has one year left on his contract and could be signed without a fee on a pre-contract in January.27-year-old Telles will have his medical on Monday before signing a four-year contract with option of a further year. Telles, who has won one cap for Brazil, has scored 21 goals in 127games for Porto. The news comes as United close in on a deal to sign Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani, who is a free agent after leaving Paris St-Germain. It was a weekend of goals in the English Premier League. Just one draw was recorded in the game between Leeds and Manchester City, nonetheless, a draw with goals. On Saturday, we saw results that seemed plausible. Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace, Everton beat Brighton, Leeds - based on their form - drew with Man City and Newcastle defeated Burnley. No surprises in most of those games. But Sunday was a whole different ballgame. The only anomaly would probably be Arsenal beating Sheffield United. But even that would perhaps be an anomaly considering that Sheffield took 4 points off Arsenal last season. But in other games, to describe the games as interesting" would be a disservice. Leicester lost 3-0 to West Ham at the King Power Stadium, ManUnited were demolished at Old Trafford by Spurs while Liverpool crashed and burned at Villa Park.
Does taking responsibility absolve him of all criticism or do you think there's more to be said? Do you agree?
